It's our home game. They have 7 outs. We are injury depleted but have won a lot of contested football this year - one of Richmond's achilles heels.

It's a beautiful winters day here in Melbourne - bright blue sky, no wind and qwuite warm in the sun. I'm tipping Melbourne.

Go Dees!

Cannot see how we'll kick a winning score though.

Clark is without doubt our most important player.

Quietly confident about today but have to agree.

Someone needs to step up in the forward line both on the scoreboard and with forward 50 pressure.

We can only beat Richmond & Essendon at the 'G so i am expecting today.

One day we will learn to win away from the womb.

I'm hoping Dunn can lead from the square to drag at least 1 defender out of the FF line so Garland and/or Rivers can have a decent poke at taking a grab.

Would love to see Howe swing in behid from the opposite flank to get some space to time a run at a hanger as well.

If all else fails, Dunn kicking for goal from 40-55m isn't that bad an option either.

We'll see.

Sylvia needs to continue improving and bag 3 or 4 if we are gonna win. Garland and Dunn for a couple each and some midfield goals Howe Jones the Jack attack and we will manage... Kicking a winning score does look unlikley though :(

GO DEES

I'm really hoping that Neeld doesn't do with Watts what he did last week and put him on Riewoldt. More because he and Chip have great duals and Chip usually comes out on top, I'd really like to see Watts be given a bit of freedom to move forward a bit and make someone accountable on him.

Also want to see Howe played forward, we need marking targets in the 50 and he can make bad kicks work for him.

Took North and Melbourne in a double.......Kangaroos giving it to WC atm.....heres hoping!

Absolutely insipid. That "chase" from Bennell through the middle of the ground was pathetic. 1st quarter and he's giving it the token jog.

Great goal Sam!!

15 rounds in and we look MORE unorganized than we did at the start of the year.

Shouldn't we be further advanced in learning the gameplan etc by now?

This is disgraceful.

Lost cause with players with no skill, decision making or workrate. Stef Martin and spencer are double face palm worthy.

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning. Joy all round, they look like they want to be there.  21 in the squad. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses.
