i believe we should chased this bloke at the end of the year. was rated a very talented jnr back in his younger days and i even think Vossy said he was the best under 16 player he had ever seen.surprisingly cant break into the senior side but absolutely kills it in the WAFL! him and Koby Stevens i would love to snag!

i dont know how to put a youtube clip up here so heres a link to some highlights.

No way, he's average to say the least.

doesnt even impact WAFL games imo

No thanks. We all know his history as a junior, but he's a turnover merchant with his kicking.

I agree Ben. From what I have seen of his kicking, it's not up to AFL standard, and we already have enough turnover kings of our own.

Koby Stevens is the one we want. Inside and outside player good skills ball magnet and young. Pay him $$$

plus teh prospect of playing senior footy and being closer to his home out in Eastern Victoria might help get him across the line.

Kobe worth a shot, but depends on the costs.

It would have to be less than a top 30 draft pick, or someone like Petterd or Bennell.

We really need to get James Strauss back into the side though.

I'm gagging to see him again.

Agree that Koby Stevens would be a good get.

Eagles supporters I know rated him as someone that might have replaced LeCras after doing his knee early this year. Sort of begs the question why he hasn't.

Nobody knew who Koby Stevens was until his manager made him look like God personified in pre-season. I wouldn't trade someone like Petterd unless he proves himself further this year

Tom Swift is a dud despite the injuries I have seen him play WAFL and get plenty of the ball due to far superior fitness than opponents but still continues to butcher it even with more time.

Koby Stevens is a stand out for East Fremantle in the WAFL and just can't break into one of the top 2 midfields in the comp, would be a very good get and IMO would come farily cheap, may also be out of contract at end of season

No, don't pay anyone that hasn't shown they can dominate at AFL level $$$ (which I am guessing is big money). That would be foolish. Stevens looks okay but yet to be convincing. As Jose said, don't give up anything too high.

agreed. He rips it up at WAFL level. Tough, 21 year old, good skills, great tackler. Can't crack it past the Eagles midfield of Kerr, Priddis, Shuey etc ... Koby is a Vic Country-Gippsland boy so come home factor possible. (swap for Bennell !!)

West Coast is probably a club that could turn Bennell and Petterd around with alot of work, but to think a straight swap of two players that can't get a game for 16th position and not doing much to knock down the door, for a 21 year old with good skills and only flaw is his take off speed, who is bashing on the door just waiting for at chance mid in the 2nd best midfield is just classic demonland. Do West Coast even want a medium sized forward or a player that doesnt know what he is? they will have lecras come back next year and nicoski(spelling?) come back in so I highly doubt they will be interested, I dare say they would want a pick, possibly second round, if i recall he went in the 20's? or so, i think it was second round. With this draft supposed to be very good until the 30's is he better then a player we could pick up? possibly not. but on the other hand would draft pick XX have a impact as quick as stevens would. interesting to see if stevens decides to stay or go.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
