It would be a shame if TGR and Bluey didn't come across. And I reckon that if the Demonology boys want to play we could just let them have their own thread and if anyone went there is would be at their own risk.

Of course, there would have to be certain limits....

hell, give 'em their own board for all i care - call it the "demonologist's bull-ring"

Would the limits end when Baghdad Bob applies to join or do we go all the way?

I was thinking more like a demonland version of the Grog Squad

Nah, just one board. they'll mix it no matter what

P.S. elevate Bluey to moderator

I reckon Bluey is the smarter version of TGR.

Would you really want to see Ologists on the grog; that would be frightening.

I too get the feeling that many will be shaking their heads, and swaying back and forth after the ology crew has descended en masse.

This could get ugly. B)

Quite a few have been regularly or occassionally posting here for sometime anyway, and they have been very well behaved. 'En masse' amounts to a dozen or so.

I doubt it will get anywhere near 'ugly' faulty.

Ugly is as equivalent to Redleg_24 and his alias' and that won't be tolerated here. Can't say the same for BF.

Easily the best and most missed poster IMO - Knackers.

Your thoughts epitomise Demonology. It's a site for posters that either enjoy quick wit, or low brow exchanges. In the main there's very poor footy acumen. When it comes to actual footy knowledge I doubt there'd be a poster I rate.

Who cares about knowledge?

People like you get a little confused about it all because you think its a science.

What do you need explained ?

Ask Gallileo Whitten

or Michaelangelo Matthews.

Acumen? Get a grip.

FFS-If you need a complicated explanation of a simple game then go and sit of the altar of Tom Harley-most annoying dick on TV.

You've overdosed on linament and you also seem to have vicarious leather poisoning .

Unbelievable as it may be to you, there are many around here who do seek intelligent footy discussion and not lame attempts at humour. Personally I like both, but there has to be balance. When the low brow stuff takes over it just becomes seriously tedious.

The words "intelligent ,footy, discussion" on here is the real comedy gold .

I dont enjoy lame attempts at humour.

When I see them I feel like a primary school teacher who has to get out the big red pen .

Intelligent and footy are nearly mutually exclusive terms.

Perhaps those interested can change all that by inventing a diploma of "carrying on like a pork chop about football".

I apologise if I do not display the required reverence and awe when our most learned and distinguished footyheads choose to cast their infinite wisdom upon us.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
