Heard this morning that Doc Peter Larkins said Jurrah out with a possible ankle break and badly damaged ligaments, faces 8-10 weeks on the sideline. Coupled with the pending charges, this has been the year from hell and he may have well played his last AFL game, lets hope not...

one of a million times my heart has dropped this season. All the best for Liam at court, one crisis at a time.

he also said melb was getting scans today and he doesn't know the results

any breaks was just speculative/possible - he just covered the possibilities of which this was just one

He wasn't fit and shouldn't have been playing imo.

He injured his ankle in a fall, not because of fitness. Stop looking for conspiracies and people to blame, cos this is not one of those times.

I have to agree with this. But the club had to inject something into the game. That is how bad we are right now.

Sadly this club disgusts me at the moment. Since Jimmy died the whole place has been a wreck. I was hoping for the opposite.

Wishful dreaming obviously.

It's really irrelevant, as stuie covered.

That is quite sad. He's having a real bad year on and off the field.

Did you read the article hose?

It says what I said before. MFC hasn't advised yet of scans and Larkins is speculating

When he went off clutching his wrist I thought, "how much more bad luck can he (and us) have?" The answer is much more.

Really hope it turns out to be a lucky break, definitely no pun intended, and he'll be back in less time than currently predicted. It was pointed out that he may not have been fully fit, I disagree that it was a mistake to play him. But why did we put him back on after he came off with the wrist injury? Game was done, why risk him if he's re-injured the thing that's been keeping him out all this time?

it wasn't a wrist injury. it was a finger and he got it taped up

Jurrah's injury was not due to lack of fitness.

And the whole place has clearly been a wreck for a number of years before Jimmy died and has continued since.

Its no wonder the Club disgusts you with all that wishful dreaming.

I hope Larkins is wrong and its less.

Scans will reveal all, but the feeling is that it's more likely to be just ligament damage - don't know for sure obviously - meaning he'll miss about 3 weeks. Fingers crossed that's right.

The scan results won't be known until tomorrow, so until then, it's just speculation.

Ah, the elusive 2 day scan results. LJ would have surely had an X-ray in Sydney last night. As for the scans in Melbourne, it's for the full extent of the damage.

As for my source, he has never B.S'ed me in the past. Hope his wrong, but unlikely.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
