Hey you might be right, neither of them got a touch that day..... Idiot.

CC has done a massive amount for this club, but he's not a coach or player so to blame admin for our onfield problems is just plain stupid.

He poisoned all the players minds and done too much meddling where he doesn't belong. They won't play for the club while he remains. He has well and truly F%#£€¥ this club.

Now do you believe that it's the recruiting and nothing else; we have too many players that are not up to AFL standard including our B&F winner from last year (good luck trying to find someone prepared to employ you) and our great hope Sylvia.

Nope. I still firmly believe we suck because these players, the majority of whom were drafted either pre, or during, Bailey's time, were mangled by Bailey and his team, and they're not really being helped by Neeld.

Yes, we made bad decisions at times. But ultimately, most of the picks we made were backed by the opinion of the industry at the time, and that, not future performance, is the fairest way to judge drafting.

Don't insult blind people by calling me blind.

So you are comfortable that Neeld needs to teach the players how to cover a player in the goal square?

Yes i did see this under Bailey all the time. Name a game..west coast, geelong, hawthorn you name it we have done it v all of them under bailey.

no, no, you're right, we'll be 0-11, may not win a game all year, despite having a better list than last year, oh and we were better when we were tanking... Neeld must be an awesome coach and it's not his fault at all..... (catch that sarcasm?)

Isolating one incident does not get Neeld off the hook.

Yes, quite clearly, our players are inept, and their ability on game day to play football is non-existent. That can't all be Neeld's fault: he obviously wasn't here whilst Bailey mangled their talent.

But the coach absolutely has to be responsible for team performances, including effort/intensity. He just has to be. And since that's lacking, I'm not happy with Neeld. I'm far less happy with the players, of course, but Neeld has to wear some of the blame.

These players are a disgrace. Almost every one of the 22 of them is gutless.

I agree with you. My point was more calling for Neelds sacking and blaming it all on him really doesn't make sense when our players aren't following basic rules you would expect.

I'm addition I'm sick to death of people recalling the 'good ole' bailey days. Really we have been this bad for a long time. Same players same results.

There's a difference between saying they were the "good ole days" and saying we were better (or not as bad might be more appropriate) under Bailey, who incidentally was fired after a performance like todays.

Nor am I.

Simple......we are not good enough.

Just a team of plodders, second raters, and slow in body and mind.

I think it's now time to draw a line in the sand and stop playing guys like Maloney,Sylvia,Davey etc for the rest of the season.

Start playing the kids.

Davis,tynan,Taggert, couch,etc.

I'm so serious about this it's not funny.

We need to shake this place to its core.

Agree, not point keeping playing the old dead wood, the untried kids could hardly do worse, and get some experience in them for next year. and who knows, one or two of them may be good, and give us something to watch which is actually enjoyable

At least there's still The Robbo Show. It's the only thing I've got left to look forward to each week.

Demand 100%. Demand every chase. Demand every tackle. Demand every contest.

Any less and you're in line to be dropped and someone else comes in. Screw consistency in the side.

Can't drop 22 players every week.... Can we?

I agree - start playing the kids. I am feeling so despondent with today's performance.

Our midfield is incapable of getting their hands on the ball. We are no where near strong enough, fast enough, or skilled enough to play the game at this level.

Agree, that sums it up without all the hysteria. We turn it over more than any other side I can recall.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
