Brilliant stuff webjet. Reflects very strongly on the company the fact that they have jumped on board and thrown their support behind us in a real time of need. Hopefully the deal works well for both parties! Let's get around them dee fans.

Finally some good news. As for their logo, big is not too big given our recent predicament. I hope it distracts the Richmond players.

I wish I could just casually bring up my plans for a $10 000 holiday . . .

$10,000 doesn't really get you very far. A ticket to Europe via Asia with a connecting flight into another European country will set you back $3000. More if you want special cripple seats. Can't believe how much they rip you off if you can't sit cramped up against some fat guy for 44 hours. Total discrimination against people with bad knees!

By the way, we just got a sponsor on an 8 day turnaround. Are people really complaining? Really?! Talk about first world problems!

Another Melbourne supporter (the advertising person who WebJet use) brings home the goods, well done WebJet.

Amazing what some supporters can do with a positive attitude - fantastic news. Wonder if he took the attitude all he has to do is buy a membership - obviously not.

Back of Jumper sponsor just needs to be sorted out now.

How about Go Switch - an EW competitor?

Would love to see that.

Flights into LA and out of New York, accom for 4 days in LA, Contiki New Years in New York and flights to get there, travel insurance and Disney World tickets for two people. Happy with my bang for my buck actually.

Wonder if Webjet would give me a discount for being a MFC member...

iSelect have stupid amounts of cash too.

I've been inside their offices, and they installed a slide for the staff to get from the 2nd floor down to ground.

They honestly seem to be looking for ideas to spend money on.

When quoting to them, you know to add on a healthy margin.

Get in there CS!

I spent two months in Europe on $6000, and that was when the dollar was crap over there. You just need to shop around a bit. Admittedly, a couple of the planes were a little cramped, but I got by.

As for the sponsor, I think this is a hell of an effort by the club. Do we have a figure yet for how much? I somehow doubt it's the 2mil we were supposed to get from EW. Still hope it's a nice chunky figure.

Surely they'd at least be willing to match the shade of red to our jumper. I know it's not the exact colour, but it's still red. Having said that, priority 1 is a back of jumper sponsor. Priority 2 is making sure the logos work well with our existing colour scheme.

You and I clearly do not have the same shopping habits.

Milan, Paris, Barcelona. I could spend $6000 a day if I had the money. Must stay well clear of all Prada related goods.

But yes, flights are definitely the biggest expense. Add a connection into the Middle East and watch the price climb. Damn hell holes!

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form
