According to the MFC website LJ will miss another 3-4 weeks and won't play any NAB Cup. Continues to battle a wrist injury. Hasn't been a good pre season for LJ

How often does an injury start at a couple of weeks, and then keeps blowing out as the weeks roll on. Very frustrating, but it is obviously difficult to accurately predict injury lengths. Would almost rather them give more of a worst case scenario at the start.

My mate is cousins with Liam and he will be back either round 3 nab cub or round 3 of season.

so if he doesnt get up for next weeks game is just having a kip til april 14 for the tiges is he?

There's a lot of reasons to be hopeful going into season 2012 but it seems LJ is not going to be one of them.

Still some weeks away from handling the ball and then he's gone have to find touch in the magoos before cracking it for a senior berth.. it's gonna take some hard work to get back in the caper.

I really hope he is a part of Neeld's plans, he is beautiful to watch at his best

even if LJ does take a while to get himself right he's still a gun. came back from a serious shoulder injury to be our leading goal kicker and lets face it he boosts MFC membership and for good reason. He's electric and watch him fire up second half of this year:) go LJ

You might have seen that olisik didn't just say Charles had a bad wrist, olsik also said Charles was a great player.

Charles was a great player. I read the comment and this is why I am Q?? Still don't get why the chuckle and the bad wrist analogy? Did I miss the joke??

A great player? Really?

I liked Sean Charles but he was far from an AFL great IMO.

Wayne Carey, James Hird, Sean Charles..?

That said, I bandy around phrases like 'great player' less easily than some; it's all relative.

Better clear this one up. slight misunderstanding here. I simply repeated Olisek.'s comment as follows " I think Sean Charles was a great player. With a very bad Wrist"

I can remember Sean Charles was very very fast and a beautiful kick. Not really a "great player" but a good one all the same. Did beautifully long torps though. The tone of "great" is what counts here :)

I just didn't understand the "Sean Charles had a bad wrist" comment in the general context of the LJ Topic. Then the subsequent "chuckles". What is so funny that one needs to chuckle?

so everytime an Aboriginal player gets an injury we'll look up another Aboriginal player that may have suffered the same or similar injury and have a group chuckle??

... has been given the all-clear to train with the main group..

Think it's the main rehabilitation group. As opposed to training apart from the group, presumably as part of his sanction for drinking etc.

This is good news but none of it really matters unless he can somehow avoid jail time.

not helpful. might as well say it'll all be wasted if he - or anyone else - falls under a truck tomorrow.

Where does your "somehow" come from? He denies the charges, and is released on minimal bail, but you would rush to speculating on sentencing?

Strange thinking for a "supporter"...

Hold your nerve, and don't talk silly talk

Excuse my ignorance, but how do trials work where Jurrah comes from?

Tremendous to have him back in the full rehab group.

LJ claims he didn't touch him.If so, will not have any issue re jail.Getting back in the team, is his first priority and succeeding. He owes that to himself, family, great friends such as Bruce etc..

i can

They mentioned before the GW$ v Swans game that Jurrah has had the pin removed from his wrist, is feeling a lot better (injury-wise), and has been given the all-clear to train with the main group..

Melbourne forward Liam Jurrah receives a boost in comeback bid

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
