Say what you like, but in the three weeks since he's been turfed out, I have enjoyed footy more than I have in two years.

I'm sure many of the players feel the same.

We would have lost by 80+ under Neeld and he'd come out and praise the effort. He had good intentions but no idea.

Ok I think it is fair to say that the players just weren't simply playing for Neeld and had lost respect of the playing group. If he was still coaching we would have lost by 50 points to both WB and ST Kilda and 100 against Sydney. Its amazing what an experience coach can do to a group like this...

I actually see some hope again - that and the improvement is giving me some incentive to come back to the games Edited by Waltham33

Let's just drop it... Mark Neeld is/ was yesterdays Greek Tragedy, and will go down arguably as the worst coach Melbourne have ever had!

Why persist with analysis, discussion about him any further!

I think our midfield has improved the past couple of weeks.

It's an area we need to work on, but let's not forget, we have Viney to add to our midfield.

Another high draft pick along with hopefully the improvement on Trengove, we should be ok.

It stands out as our singular greatest weakness. It is the single biggest obstacle to us improving in the future

We need to put all our resources into picking up midfielders, midfielders and midfielders

Plus a good start would be to get a decent midfield coach to stop us haemmoraging
