Training - Friday 6th January, 2012

Sorry everyone, I assumed (incorrectly) that open training sessions are ok to post information about, including videos. Damian Hardwick was even there at once stage to check out this session!

But I understand that if we can help it, we shouldn't be posting videos online for others to see, to make it easier to check out what our boys are doing!

It's been deleted. Cheers

Yeah trenners... thanks for going to the trouble. Interesting that you caught the moment when Davis clipped Howe. I'm hoping Number 38 is on the paddock in the morning. He is set for a breakout that will see him rated highly across the comp.

I'm with you WW. I've been wrong more often than I care to remember but this bloke seems to me to have so much talent. I think potentially he could be Barry Prendergasts best value for money pick and could be one of our most important players going forward.

Trenners, please take it down, from here and Youtube. The club DOES NOT want video posted as it is used by opposition sides.

Holy s**t you kidding me.

It's an open training session arguably every single club can go down with a camera and record each and every thing for themselves.

This is by far the most ridiculous thing I've seen on Demonland. Trenners thank you for going to all that work, I (and according to some 16 other teams) all really enjoyed it

I agree totally.

Anyway, handballing out of a stoppage and kicking ot a leading forward is hardly groundbreaking strategy that would be revealed from that video. Most would know that Watts, Clarke and Howe will be our marking fwds.

Thanks for all your work Trenners.

Cheers for that T9 some great pics in there.

Re footage - every training session I have attended in the past with a camera I was told no video.

Perhaps it's a little harder these days with increased numbers attending and the open nature of GP to get that message out on the day.

Edit: Not that the two days from your OP (w/ video mentioned) to the video post wasn't sufficient time for a 'please don't'.

It is surprising to me that the club has not asked for some of the more brilliant insights and ideas of posters to be removed so others don't benefit...

I think he and Bail will be competing for the "best value for money pick" title. I'm very excited to see what 2012 has in store for Howe.

I was sitting near some West Coast supporters at the Etihad match last year, and they kept asking - 'who is no. 38?'.

It wasn't just the speccy marks; it was all the other little things he does on the ground - the tap-ons to someone in a better position, or getting a finger to the ball so it doesn't go out on the full.

He's also had a very full pre-season. Fingers crossed.

Agreed . It hardly a D-Day secret . Howe is a natural .If we can get the ball down quickly we really have some marking and kicking power at "Dunkirk" .

Veteran Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin returned to the training track to bring you the following observations from Gosch's Paddock this morning. Beautiful morning for training. The dew has dried, out from AAMI, quiet chatting. Maysie does his heart symbol. 7 in rehab, Turner, Hore, Sestan, BBB, Petty, Spargo and Schache. All in runners. Melky weighted and change of angles work. Salem has his individual program. White cap (no contact), Howes, Woewodin and Sparrow

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
