* Bring on 2013 when Rivers, Davey and Green aren't auto-selections.

* And I'm looking forward to seeing the Howe/Petterd battle for that HFF position - may be a big call but I have Howe in front of Petterd based on the season just gone.

* Who honestly knows how Neeld is going to start them??!!

FB: Garland, Frawley, Nicholson

HB: Grimes, Rivers, Blease

C: Trengove, Moloney, Bail

HF: Howe, Watts, Petterd

FF: Martin, Clark, Davey

FOLL: Jamar, Gysberts, McKenzie

INT: Green, Jones, Sylvia

SUB: Tapscott

EMERG: Bartram, Jurrah, M. Sewell (Please draft him!)

I've named Jurrah out of the best 22. Would love to see the match commitee make a statement round 1 by making Jurrah show an improved work rate at Casey before we'd be willing to pick him in the 22.

We really do possess a good list that underperforms too often - Neeld should be able to get the best out of them .

I tried to put as many "Goers" as I could find in the team - Usually that's what a new coach does as well .

Not only have you wrecked the team balance but you have an amazingly tall back line that would get slaughtered against smaller teams. Watts at CHB is not the go, he is only a floater when there. Others need to take his share of the load. What the hell!

B: Garland(Could play wing but doubt it) Frawley Bartram

HB: Blease(rotating with Jones off the wing) Rivers(Martin for chop out) Grimes(rotating with bail on the ball)

C: Jones Trengove Morton

HF: Howe Watts Green

F: Davey Clark Jurrah

R: Jamar Sylvia Moloney

Int.: Mckenzie Gysberts/Tapscott(Dunno who will get the nod) Martin

Sub: Petterd

Emg. Strauss Bate(Cos he is planned to play so they say and is BOG in VFL weekly) Tom Mac.

Unluckies Joel Mac, Jetta, Nicholson, Gawn, Wona

Possibly the most balanced team on paper, the centre bounce line up is tantalising, the backs have a great balance and the half back line is exctitng to say the least. The forward line is finally complete imo, so dangerous when going on all cylindars. The only question mark is the midfield, we are still weak in that area and i would love to see Myles Sewell be our Michael Barlow. Great player and i think is draftable and best 22 material if he can make the cut.

Watts is not equiped for CHF yet - you may have a point about the backline though ( against small forward lines ) Grimes for Rivers for that case - Not sure that my backline is "amazingly" tall in any case . Watts plays like a utility and has good leg speed - Don't get the "Wrecked team balance" bit either - how ?

I would prefer Tapscott and Grimes to be rotated through the midfield but the backline looks so good with both of them there (apart from Grimes kicking!)

Gawn is stiff to miss.

Probably need to squeeze Bartram in - but for who?

I can't fit Morton in. (and on 2011 form Idon't want to)

Davey only just holding his spot, and I reckon he might lose it to Bate

The HF line looks a bit flighty - maybe swap Watts and Clark?

However, I reckon 2012 will spring one or two surprises. A new coach brings out talent and hard work in unexpected people. I am looking forward to Bail firing up, and I reckon one of Jetta, Bennell, Evans or Nicholson will emerge as a real talent. I hope it is Jetta.

You wreck the team balance when you have too many talls in the one team imo. Essendon are prime examples, West Coast somehow work their way around it. Watts, Martin, Jamar, Clark, Rivers, Frawley, Garland. Come on man, today's game is about a balance of players, this is talking leg speed and height wise, who possess leg speed who are small/medium sized, and the right amount of talls who are either versatile or stay-in-postion KPP in the one team. OR ELSE U R FINISHED against anyone. The wrong balance, too many small/mediums, too many talls and the team balance is *&^%$#! And i think that Watts too isn't just someone who plays like a utility, HE IS a utility. BUT, i can definitely see him lock down in a position this year, CHF being that position. And yeh ur backline is amazingly tall, 2 smalls in the backline, IS THIS SOME SORT OF SICK JOKE, we would get ^&*%$# on if we had 4 talls and 2 smalls, that is a joke, honestly.

Full Back, CHB, CHF, Full Forward, 2nd tall defender & 2nd flexible ruck option you name there. Looks good. What's the problem?!!

Geez, we have a good 22 on paper, really should perform much better then we did at times in 2011. Hopefully we see each and every player improve next year, creating a situation where getting into the 22 is a task in and of itself. Don't want to see players in [censored] form get a game automatically due to lack of competition.

You've got the same 7 talls in your team ! OK so you've got Martin on the bench but not a lot of difference hey - 6 v 7 in the starting 18 - In fact nearly every team posted has the same 7 talls in it ! The difference being I have Martin in the team at CHF - As I said earlier maybe Grimes for Rivers ( who I've seen play on mediums / smalls quite a lot ) A tallish backline is usually needed against Pies , Cats , Hawks and Eagles ( esp if we're getting towelled up by their talls ) Anyway , it's ok to agree to disagree !

I have 21 of the same players in there, but with Gysberts in the 22. Howe and Petterd can fight it out for the last spot. Hopefully T. McDonald can push for a spot. My emergencies would be Howe/Petterd, Bennell and Gawn.

Firstly, all the power forwards in the comp play CHF - that's where Clark should play.

FF? Maybe Howe

Morton does not get a gig; nor does Davey on 2011 form.

So:

B: Rivers Frawley Tapscott

HB: Grimes Garland Bail

C: Blease Moloney Trengove

HF: Watts Clark Sylvia

F: Jurrah Howe Green

R: Jamar Gysberts McKenzie

I: Martin, Jones, Petterd, Bartram

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
