Haha... He will defiantly not go in the first rd. Didn't win there bnf, only averaged 2 goals a game and got in the best every 3rd game. It's a highlights reel. Just relax.

I hope your right.

Edit: I see the highlights were spread out over a whole season, and there ae=re some questions over his hardness, etc.

Another attribute is that he runs hard for the full distance before bouncing. It is a pet hate of mine and I coached kids to never bounce until they had run their full distance, if they couldn't give it off immediately. I hate players who take 2 steps and bounce the ball, haven't they learned it only slows them down and increases risk of error and turnover.

The other point is that and I am not knocking the kid, but I could do a highlight package of say Bennell and you would think he would win 3 brownlows. 1 or 2 highlights from a game and then joined with others can be deceptive. What you don't see is the errors, concentration, 1%'s, etc. Anyway he looks good in his you tube.

Not normally a fan of these highlights either. Felt the same way when seeing Howe's highlights - not overly excited, but look at him now.

After having a second look, reminds me a little of Ben Cousins, purely by the way he moves.

Agree.

Yep, I wasn't overly impressed.

I don't think he'd make it.

Not so sure about that.

Sure it was edited highlights, but this kid can run, knows just where the goals and the ball are, and can shrug a tackle (at this level) and has what Alan Jeanes regarded as the biggest attribute in a young player, balance.

Certainly worth a look but I don't know just where he lies in the overall scheme of things.

And he has experience playing against grown men, angry Tassie men at that, not just juniors.

He would certainly look better in the red and blue than those horrible Tiger colours too.

Looks like Collingwood did a deal for the 10th and last pre-listed player so it's draft only now.

11:17am - Trade movement is picking up .... Collingwood exchanges its second round pick (No.47 overall) to the Gold Coast Suns for Peter Yagmoor (Queensland zone selection) and a round three pick (50). Yagmoor is a Cairns-raised indigenous half-back, 180cms, who played well for Morningside in a losing grand final this year. His manager Peter Blucher says he "kicks it at an elite level already".

Thanks Clanget and Slayer.

He looked pretty quick and agile, with good goal sense - could he be that much needed forward crumbier, who can fill in mid if needed?

Hopefully we take this kid, he is quick and can take a grab, takes on his opposition and has definate X-factor.

Best of all, he is a tackling machine - works both ways and does the one percenters.

Gets a thumbs up from me

Taking into account his vid highlights are his better efforts....

Well balanced, gives off to a player in a better position, doesnt try to overdo it

I picked up he is a quick thinker on the run and in packs.

Worth us using a late pick if available.

Could be a nice replacement for Maric, as he is looks like moving on.

I say go for it.

Sibosado, Daw, Panos . . . Hall could well become the much hyped bigfooty-driven, youtube sensation of 2011.

Good call - I was taken in big time by the Sibosado and Daw highlight reels.

On the other hand, there was a fair bit of hype around Tom Rockliff after he was passed over in the draft, but that was probably supported by his TAC Cup stats.

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt
