Now I may be a little thick this morning ( versus every other morning )

but What does "Generation D " mean?

It's just the marketing department palying on Gen Y, X, Z, Pepsi, et al.

Not too bad.

Although 1 in 40 Generation D are known to be blinded by ludicrous amounts of money and move to western backblocks...

Yes, there was the comedy series D-Generation... let's hope that this isn't prophetic with regards to season 2012 (or maybe that's why they reversed the order to Generation D).

go dees, gonna sign up and show some loyalty to the cause

2 extra first rounders, new coach, jack viney = optimism

Unfortunately we don't know who the next coach will be yet... and that is probably the most important part of the equation!

Guys I rang the MFC and asked them and to be honest I am not a lot wiser.

Perhaps the web site person has jumped the gun and staff have not been given a full explanation.

Who knows what will transpire in the fullness of time!

They made an error and will be changing it shortly to ....

"Generation Old D"

For all us aging Demons!

Gee RN they would be in real trouble if they are dependant on this old croak.

My wife told me just this morning when I was complaining about the "ageing process"

To remember "you woke up alive this morning just get on with it".

Sounds like the MFC to me.

Anyone know, with the reserved seats in the Olympic, is that the Jim Stynes room?'

Some seats are I think 1 or 2 blocks and some just to the right of the this room. I'm hoping we can continue to increase our premium reserve seat members and we can get from the MCC right around to the AFL members on level two all Premium Members only. That room is only used a couple of times through the year great room, I wish the club would make this our Premium Members room rather than the Hassett room.

Gold!

Thanks for sharing that

Btw, i don't think they have a choice. The MFC supporter base would be pretty skewed towards older croaks like us i reckon. Haven't exactly inspired a run of youthful support from the masses in the last 4 decades eh

We will never find out but i would love to know the average age of MFC members.

I suspect it may well be the highest in the MFC.

That is a real danager.

We need to start having winning seasons.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
