WOW after today it really feels like the progress we had thought we had made has been undone.... Will a flogging like this be the catalyst for the change we need? I hope so.

The only glimmer of hope is that some of the young brigade seem like the most determined and tough.

been on that painful road a long time now thought i could see the tunnel with the light at the end.....seems it was a mirage........CMON DEES FFS don't keep doing this too us

1....2........3!

We won't be rock bottom until one of our players gets caught placing a be against us for the GC V dees game. Then, and truly then we can sink no further.

Bails is lucky Jimmy didnt do a Joe Gutnick and announce at half time to the media that Todd Viney would be caretaker coach for the rest of the season! The morale of members and sponsors is on the line !

Or we could show some spine and beat Carlton next week.... knowing mfc its possible... the ultimate rollercoaster!!!

This part of the roller coaster is on a big down hill run... Don't expect too much next week other than Robinson getting a smack in the head (fingers crossed).

I thought of that today....Tomorrow's papers will be very interesting.....

The papers will probably just do what the electronic media did tonight - let Bailey off the hook yet again - he comes across as such a nice guy and who can attack a nice guy, regardless of woeful performances!

Mores the pity!

Anyone watching Sainters and GC.

GC have such poise and structure for a first year club. They have a real game plan tonight. Hope they beat the sainter's and take some pressure off us (or maybe I don't, not sure).

ROck bottom. It is always darkest before the Dawn. I really hope this is the bottom, and that the playing group and coaching staff begin the process of brining us back to sunshine. Interested in how the club responds to this, in the press, toward the members and internally.

Never before have we had such a pathetic on field result to catalyse either advancement or change.

That is the whole bloody problem at The MFC.

We need to take a page out of the Bombers and Blues book.

Not good enough then get out of the road we will find someone who is.

For god sake it is as plain as the nose on your face.

The evidence has been there all year.

The rebuild has been a failure.

It is time to be brutal.

Nice guys get beaten by 30 goals.

Pricks play in Grand finals.

Make no mistake posters - this is a defining moment in MFC's history - in today's world no-one just laughs off results like we had at Geelong!

If they beat the saints it will make us look even sillier

first year team beats last years grand finalist

And the oldest team in the competition gets belted by 30 goals.

I remember the '64 flag. I am 58 years of age. I seriously doubt I will live (or remain sane) long enough to see another.

The sad thing is I'm 30 I haven't even seen one and it's unlikely I ever will because today I witnessed the

club I support die.

Not really sure how a sainter's loss to GC would make us look sillier?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
