Joeboy - Unnecessary tiger abuse

Joeboy - Necessary Tiger abuse

Constantly appealing for holding the ball whenever they laid a tackle. Idiots.

Anyway, Petterd laid 14 tackles? Faaaaar out.

I wont abuse you about it, it's an opinion mate.

I did not notice all 14 to be honest, I thought about 10.

I thought he was quiet today, but 13 inside 50 tackles is a seriously good effort, considering that would beat the team total for inside 50 tackles in our bad weeks.

I thought Petterd was ordinary, bit selfish at times where he could have dragged his man away from the contest so the other Melbourne Player could have had a one on one. But his defensive work was great.

Green not sure where he is at, struggled a little today without taking a big mark late in the 3rd and early in the last.

Brad Green - Selfish Goal Hungry

Occasionally yes, but getting to the right possessions and then having a shot is often good play not bad.

It's not as easy as saying, well Brad you spent your whole career trying to kick goals, now you must look unselfish at all times. The captaincy has weighed on him, but thankfully he has improved this year from where he was at. Still has a way to go - I abuse him generally once a game now for been selfish/dumb.

Can't blame him for kicking the one early in the 4th.

Agreed re everything bar Petterd and Strauss. Thought Petterd was very lively all day, maybe not 100% effective but his talent we all know of his intensity has been questioned and he showed he cared today.

Strauss had 10 touches and from memory didn't get over the ball once nor fumble.. He was far from best but he was matched up on a far bigger body and beat him too so think tiny bit harsh there.

Jurrah- He Is Back

Brad Green - Selfish Goal Hungry

There certainly were about 3 occasions where he could have given it off instead of blazing away. The one where Petterd was moving towards goal at the Punt Road end away from Green and his 2 opponents was a gimme, but Green ignored him. The Captain is playing better but was selfish on a few occasions.

Green turned down a couple of shots he should have taken! The one in the last quarter where he gave it off to Jones was a certain goal if he'd had a shot. It's never a certainty if you give the ball off to Jones.

Petterd's call is all out of whack. I thought he was in a LOT of the game, just fluffed disposal too often. Looks like he's enduring a bit, but doing all of the hard stuff you can do when you're out of touch.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
