a great clubman, but as far as on field stuff goes, can't say im disappointed to see him in yellow and black

Our forward line will rely on quick play, punishing kicking and just a hint of freakishness.............

Miller has none of these qualities. I saw a little last night that was very good to see.

Richmond on the other hand, have nothing.

Actually, I may have jumped the gun a little. He was great in the first few minutes, instrumental in their first goal with some really strong body work off the ball, but did nothing after in either of their games.

A bit harsh on the Tigers who had nowhere near their best side on the park.

Brad Miller is a mature age rookie. The expectations for him at Tigerland won't be too great.

Whilst I wish him all the best, it's still good to see we're not missing much.

But we are missing his missus

It's so weird seeing him in tiger colour's

didn't play very well

but will always be my fav player

Given that their second highest goalkicker got 15 last year I think he'll go alright as a second/third banana in their forward line, especially with Hardwick saying Riewoldt might spend more time further up the ground.

Problem will be actually getting the ball down there in the first place.

I was watching and I couldn't help hoping Miller would do well.He didn't do a lot, but I can't help feeling he'll be a worthwhile contributor.

Similarly, I couldn't help hoping the 2 Collingwood Demons(Simon Buckley and Ben Sinclair...."son of Porky") would shine. They didn't do too badly!

Miller was rookied to act in a mentor role more than a playing role. I think he will be good at this.

Buckley got a fair bit of it, but decision making and kicking were poor. I expect he will be delisted at end of year. Don't know where Sinclair fits in to anything.

Thought Cheney was good in the early game tonight for Hawks agin WCE. May well make it with the hawks.

Cheney did look good but there was doubting his ability but more the fact on where he was in the pecking order...

Miller looked like a different player for Richmond- a worse one. It is a bit haunting to see him in no.13, Jordan McMahon's old number. The first reason is cos it won't bring him much luck at the Tigers, the second reason is in the game McMahon kicked that goal I remember Miller was moved into the ruck and the midfield, the biggest give away that we were tanking. Since he's a rookie I doubt he'll get a game for the Tigers.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
