As well as Frawley, Campbell, Newton, Wonaeamirri, Tapscott, Davis and Fitzpatrick... and, of course, Davey, Jurrah and Bennell

Green may be on a modified program because of his age, and the 3 all stars must be fit, so that leaves 10 players not ready for the game. I thought the injury list was less than that.

I'm surprised Jones isn't playing. Funny story actually, on Monday morning i was in the city, and I saw the Dees training at Gosch's paddock so I got off the train and watched them do their private training session. Unfortunately it finished soon after I got there, but afterwards Max Gawn and Nathan Jones were doing intense running drills and I said hi to them. Jones looked fighting fit

I'm not too upset that 10 players are not fit enough to play the intra-club game 2 months out from the start of the season proper. Especially considering the guys who aren't playing.

Warnock, Gysberts, Tapscott, Davis, Campbell and Fitzpatrick are not in our best 22. I want all of them to get back playing and improving at vfl level asap, but it really doesn't impact too heavily of round 1. Gysberts is probably the best of that lot and he's recovering from a soft-tissue injury so he should easily be fit by the nab cup.

Only 4 players are not playing intra-club game from our best 22- Jones, Green, Frawley, Wonaeamirri. Wona is not injured, he just needs to catch up on fitness after some family tragedy over the summer. Green and Jones should easily be right for nab cup as far as i understand. Only Frawley is in doubt for round 1, and he should play by round 3.

Of those not playing, only Green and Frawley are genuinely critical players to our team and structures.

The real issue is going to be keeping the rest of the squad fit before round 1. Last year we lost Morton, Sylvia and Jurrah just before round 1, and it really impacted us. Hoping for more luck this time around

well hopefully they make it a twilight hit out. i'm flying in to Melbourne on friday afternoon, so it'd be awesome if it's say 6.00pm, olympic park, with a bbq for the families.

as good as it is to watch the boys as much as possible, its only a hot out and they are probably not too fazed about it fitting in with the public as they are trying to get game plan right etc. just a thought

We would be remiss if we didn't thank the MFC for making the team lists available in advance of tomorrow's game.

As indicated by WJ it's been a running sore at some other clubs where no lists or inadequate lists are privded to spectators.

Thanks to the MFC we can download the numbers and have them for reference at tomorrow's game.

Or how about one club who closed their intra club match to the public? I can only surmise that they want to sell more memberships before their fans get to see their list actually play.

I was talking about not having the luck, not talent. Not that we know if anything is actually wrong with Ricky, but he tends to struggle to string together more than a handful of competitive matches.

ah right, my apologies

my faith in the injury prone has been reinstated with seeing Sylvia, Rivers and Moloney on the park consistently

the other side of the spectrum is McLean. Yikes.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
