We are impressively inundated with Jack's!!! Why "impressively"??? Because they are ALL fantastic future prospects beyond belief!!! Disregarding Fitz (because he is obviously hard to judge at present), all these Jack's could arguably be in our Top 5 players 5 years down the track.

Like a few said in the other thread Jack Darling could be in that mix. This whole potential 6 Jack thing is starting to get ridiculous, I love it.

And if he does- he could end up the best of the Jack's..

This is a tough one - Watts has the most natural talent, and Grimesy will have the determination and drive to get him far.

Watts by a nose.

Hahaha. Would be creepy!!!

We could have a centreline full of Jack's soon enough!!! Hrmmm we just need a Jack ruckman - maybe Jake Spencer could legally change his name to Jack; it's close enough...

Edit: Although Jack Fitzpatrick will be a 2nd tier ruckman. Food for thought....

It's certainly a story line to be told grand final day. Will the recruiting staff be feted for this talent scouting coup as Hawthorn were in 08, focusing their attention on left footers?

Jack Darling it must be at pick 12. Unless another club is on to us & our strategy

Edit: I would prefer the OP start the Jack Grimes description with, Superstar & captain in the making. Then maybe a mention of the injury issues. ;)

Jack Grimes for me!

i believe they will be all great in different ways haha :)

Sensible point.

Watts as the big strong KPP CHF - crash packs, take big marks and a booming dangerous kick.

Grimes as a captain prodigy and help glue the backline together.

Trengove will be our tough in-and-under type. Not afraid to get the hard ball.

Fitzpatrick is another KPP prodigy much like that of Hale - forward/ruck.

Viney the ball magnet. Tough and ruthless.

It's what his potential will be...

I have reserved judgment with Fitz at the moment after only seeing tiny bits of his footy in 2010.

What makes you say that? The club are pretty impressed with his progress so far.

If we pick up Jack Dowling and young Jack Viney that'll also be 17 players on our list whos first or second name starts with J... Should've chased Jesse White!

Jack of all trades really. sorry.

USELESS INFORMATION:

In the paper this week, it was reported that "Jack" is currently the most common name for babies. :)

USELESS INFORMATION # 2:

Yes, having a 2 & 1 year old, just been through the baby names. Jack would be top 3 for the past 5-10 years.

Did try the Jack, had two shots at it and the better half shot me down.

Trengove. His Brownlow will beat Watts' dual Norm Smiths

Well I had to pick in order to vote .. Chose Grimes but in all reality they will all be guns in own right . What a hardship having to choose from that line up !!!! :)

I probably should have voted for the one that will have the biggest impact on our flags, not necessarily the best player.. with that in mind I'd change from Trengovernment to KillaWatts

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
