Ok, so these aren't the changes I WANT but after reading the player review, I expect that Bailey will do this:

OUT: Warnock, Jetta, McKenzie

IN: Sylvia, McDonald, Bennell

Shame cos I like those 3 blokes, and think they are all part of our future, but I get the impression they're not amongst the favourites for the coaches.

Can already feel my frustration with Rivers, Bruce, and Miller building for next week... Will do my best to give them ANOTHER chance

Will not happen, but would like to see (based on yesterday's shocker):

OUT: Rivers, Miller, Warnock

IN: McDonald, Sylvia, Cheney

Also, one A. Davey needs to show up this week.

Yep, good call, fair call......love flash and have no doubt he will play a beauty this week as he does every 2ND week!

Be very careful when quoting Bruce's efficiency rate is it counts a handball to someone about to get crunched (who then gets crunched) as an effective disposal.

Which brings me to the motion for Champion Data to bring in a new stat called the "CAUFU" stat. the first three words are: "Complete and utter..." It represents, identifies and verify's the footballer responsible for such acts which directly or indirectly cause a turnover of severe magnitude.

I'll let others decipher what the rest of it is. Here's a clue: There were plenty of these yesterday. Go figure.

I really think we need to start to play a second ruckman this will enable Jamar to push forward. With only 1 option available we need to bring in Spencer. Where is Martin?

Fumbled unnecessarily? ;)

Any source for that? And any sort of ETA?

In: Bennell, Cheney, McDonald, Sylvia

You're all over it like a fat kid in a lolly shop, aren't ya?

Keep the faith, those deck chairs will deliver

Believe he has had an operation on his "hip". Don't know what is wrong. Unknown when he will return.

Jamar is a ruckman. Currently he is a frequently dominant ruckman.

Why the need to stick him up forward and take away from one of our strengths?

Posted

Jamar needs a rest at some stage and at the moment when he takes the 5 min out of the ruck we get smashed. I would like to see him rest up forward as a deep target for 5-10mins per quarter. We need to play a second ruck we can't keep having Miller, Dunn and Sylvia ruck they get smashed.

As of round 13 we're arguably the worst team in the competition. West Coast could give us a run for our money, but at least they beat us at the G. The good news for Bailey is that we're under the radar. The media have gone very soft on us.

But, we all understand it's a work in progress. While we have players that are clearly not good enough for us to become a top 4 side then we'll tread water until the talented youth develop. So I don't get too many jollies contemplating one spud replacing another.

I'll say. No thanks to S.Baker, and to the lesser degree S.Johnson and the MRP.

My team for this week would read:

FB: Bartram Warnock MacDonald

HB: Cheney Frawley Grimes

C: Garland Jones Sylvia

HF: Trengove Bate Davey

FF: Bruce Green Hughes

Rucks: Jamar Maloney McDonald

Inter: Rivers Miller Scully Morton

In: Cheney, Sylvia, Hughes, Junior

Out: Jetta, McKenzie, Watts, Dunn

A good summation of the situation.

Gysberts 2 weeks away.... hurt his back. Injury list on afl website.

So a four week injury in essence factoring in the week off and the weekend just gone?

Glad we heard about that two weeks after the fact. :(

Nah not really Jack, I doubt it occurred in the Pies game. Gys was at the boxing camp - I am wondering if it happened there.

It was mentioned pre-game that he had hamstring tightness, obviously back related.

I didn't notice Gys at the boxing camp Ox?

Thanks for the update..hopefully a problem soon alleviated as these can become troublesome. Surely we've had our share of damn fine players over the last 20 years cut down by injury at one stage or another, the Ox being one, Glen Lovett, Stinger, Jakovich, Lyon...on and on.

Really think we missed Gys in the middle last week, even being young he is an addition into midfield rotations and a good one at that.

I am pretty certain I saw him in photos. He is a good clearance player thats for sure. Another one of our boys with a small frame but willing to get to the bottom of packs. It's good to see.

Good work Ox....had to satisfy my curiosity but there is the Gys in the background!

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

    TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
