Hoping there's a lot on heat on those decisions during the week.

Who cares? It won't give us back a game that was rightfully ours. @#$% the AFL and @#$% the umpires.

Why oh why when running out of the back 50 chased by 4 bullies did Bartram not just kick the bloody ball off the ground and up onto the wing?

Instead he over runs it and the kick a goal.

That cost us.

if he kicks it of the ground he could have easily gone on the full or fresh aired it!

he was unlucky no free kick was needed the umps let it go ..

i thought cooney was lucky to get the free kick in the middle tho

Anyone else notice some pretty ugly stuff coming from Bulldog supporters leaving the ground? Quite a lot of gloating (from a team that should have been beaten) and a few having a dig at Melbourne supporters on the way out (they got a fair bit back which was good to see to). Lost a bit of respect for them tonight. I expect that lack of class from Collingwood fans, not them.

Pfft! I've seen us lose more grand finals than they've made in my life. Give 'em a couple of years and they will be challenging Richmond for the spoon.

Champs in March, but beaten by a pack of 18 year olds tonight. Let their supporters enjoy the 5 minutes in the sun. There's no way they can win a premiership playing like that.

On another note: Hall - recruit of the year  ? Good call/bad call. Cold as ice tonight.

A great game by the young kids. I hope Jamie B and Watts watch the attack on the ball shown by Scully and Trengove - they are leading by example. I though the wet conditions normally favour the stronger older bodies?

Jamie B showed he has skill, however he doesn't want the ball enough. A player with his pace should be laying a lot more tackles - have you noticed how he runs around anybody sheperding and almost gives up the chase? He will be a much more valuable player if he can fix this part of his game. Jamie's ability to pick up the ball off the deck was almost as good as Davey tonight and the high mark was superb. With more game time, I think he can be a great HFF.

Warnock and Frawley are becoming great defenders. They both have the pace to keep up with the fast leading forwards, which is what we have been missing in the last couple of years.

With a few more options up forward, we have the making of a great team! Hopefully Morton, Watts and Jurrah can fix this problem!

I thought Jamie really put his body on the line tonight and showed that being called a squib is just not part of his makeup. There were times I didn't think he was going to get up - a very classy game tonight.

Warnock was outstanding tonight. I expected Hall to kick a few even with the weather, but Warnock was easily a match for his strength and so much faster around the ground. Amazing game from him.

Disappointing. i have a lot of respect for the club, they do a lot of fantastic community stuff here in the west. But some of their supporters are pure cro magnon.

Bailey's comment on the games of Scully, Trengove and McKenzie.

"Pretty good."

What will it take to get a "great" or a "brilliant" from him?

A win of Geelong v Richmond style proportions, in a Grand Final!

These boys play for respect, not for public adoration!

How much better are we with McKenzie playing, his takeaway from the contest on the 50m arc that set up scully's goal was phenomenal

sorely missed last week. Better not be out for "General Soreness" this week & I hope Bail is over his little setback.

It's very dissapointing, but the fact is, we just outplayed a side (and make no mistake, we outplayed them) who are heavily fancied to reach the top 4 at the end of the season. If it wasn't for a few strange umpiring decisions and a couple of mistakes in front of goal, we would have won.

If this is what we can do now, just imagine what we'll be doing in 4 years time.

But if he kicks it off thew ground at worst it goes 30 meters forward, they have to run and get the ball and come back behind their line, which means maybe 10 secs wasted and plenty of time for us to get more players to their players.

And from where he was he would have been more likely to put it on centre wing and to a contest which is 50/50. Instead he over runs it in their 50 (or just out) which resulted ina goal to them.

I think this was a huge mistake.

No doubt. He needed to clear the area. Was the worst of probably 3 or 4 big mistakes. The others were mainly made by Grimes.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
