Not real happy with this so many other options out there

Is he the one who completes our Jack Attack?

Fitzpatrick in the ruck, taps to Grimes, clean feed to Trengove on the wing who hits Watts lace out...

surprising to take another ruckman... his profile says he can play both ends of the ground... perhaps looking at him as a key forward?

Haha Jaded, we'd go well at the pub I reckon. Me and a mate just had a yelling match over Patrick/Grimes...you can guess which side I was on.

Grimes could be a rookie chance?

Nah, we're committed to taking Newton and Meesen, and have no more space on the list.

That is unless somebody takes Meesen...

sad would have loved either of the relations not a big wrap for Fitzpatrick

What happens if we pass round one rookie draft but then someone picks up Newton or Meesen?

My guess is that we'd have to pay out the final year of both their contracts and we have two vacancies on our rookie list. (you can't use any more picks after you've passed - rookie upgrades in the ND aside) GC have the first five rookie selections then we have pick 6. If GC take one of them then it free's up a selection, but we're basically obligated to use our picks on Juice and Mees if they're still available.

Don't like Fitzpatrick at 50 at all. Dees take a risk with this pick, and I think we used up all our good karma last year netting Jurrah.

Maybe he will turn out to be a gun, at pick 50 who knows.

...or takes out Meeson ;)

Anyone here knows anyone at the C clubs?

This is the one guy that comes into the club with low expectations and pressure. If he can keep his CFS under control, and develop his game then the sky is his limit for him. Touted as a ruckman I get the feeling that he will be used as a ruck/forward type player, in a similar mold as Kreuzer. Gawn is the man they want to take over in the middle.

Like many I was sus on this pick, but wish him the best at the MFC. Maybe he will be talked about as the big pick out of 2009 in years to come.

I would conisder him more of a natural KPP defender than a ruckman or forward, I have only seen him a couple of times but he hasn't been used much in the ruck that I saw. He is good value at this pick and he is definatly the project player of this draft for us, I don't see him contributing in the short term and I think he needs a lot of work on a lot of his game but he has all the right athletic attributes to make it.

How do you know all this gear?

He's definitely a player that needs a lot of work, but he has a whole lot of attributes that you just can't teach. When you get late in the draft you need to take more of a punt because every club has already cast judgement over the obvious players by then. Either that, or a specific role player when you're getting closer to a flag.

He's quick, he's agile, he can take a mark and he's 200cm tall. He's exactly the sort of punt you should be taking late in the draft. But he'll need plenty of time so we'll have to be patient with him.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
