Thought I would be the first to say it.

Don't think you are and don't think this needed a new thread :P

So Luke Ball might re-sign with St.Kilda, would probably prefer to go to Collingwood and may have some misgivings about coming to Melbourne? OK.

:D

umm...thats not a fault of power point...just your equipment !!

I bet he's heard that one before ;)

Sorry 45, couldn't resist.

Do you have any secrets to make a good choc ripple cake?

A touch of vanilla essence and icing sugar in the whip cream?

Dip the biscuits In some Brandy. Your spot on with the Vanilla essence and icing sugar. Getting back to the thread surely we didn't need another Luke Ball thread when we don't have any news to report?

Has anyone on here heard Ball say he doesn't want to play for Melbourne? We are bagging the guy purely on speculation created by the d/heads in the media.

Yes if Ball reads just one paragraph of Caro's masterpiece then he will certainly stay at St.Kilda. YEAH RIGHT. Caro's articles are only good for cleaning the barbie. What positive spin do people think we should get? We are currently the wooden spooners we can only sell the future and I think it is understandable that some people would want us to show something first before they look at us positively.

If we all took this attitude then nothing would be achieved as we'd need proof of concept before setting out on anything.

Season 2010 will be quite different to 2009.. Dont need to be a Rhodes scholar to know this. Ball , or anyone for that matter would only need to look as far as the development of the list as well as the anticipated inclusions to know we will not just be competitive next year you better give us a little respect or we'll bit your ass.

Ball ought to know what a club has to do in order to set itself up for longer term success and he ought to know that having done the prior we are looking to exact the latter.

How many teams are actually wooden spooners because it suits them ?? few id chance. No one will care where we finished in 09 when were playing finals in 011 !! Nor should he ( Ball) be too concerned.

Still...maybe he's not the leader he spouted to be...but a lazy lamb of a follower !! we'll see <_<

Some people make things happen..others just watch

I wrote that it was understandable that doesn't mean it's right. I think we will surprise a few people and if Ball doesn't come to the club he will be one of them.

I think were going to surprise more than a few....many of them Melbourne supporters !!:rolleyes:

Don't Forget a very important point in all this Reporting. The Media would Love Luke Ball to go to the Filth, as it sells Newspapers & Radio Ratings.

Luke Ball Coming to the MFC is still Big to them but not as Huge. The Media LOVE the Filth for one reason.

If you read Saintsational Threads, the feeling over there is that he has gone from St. Kilda as of last weekend-i haven't read threads Tonight.

Wait one second ... one minute we are having a crucifixion next minute were not ... come on lets just make up our minds.

I've completed my course on ... How to make chocolate cakes ... he better like cake.

One way or another I say we ditch the powerpoint ... lets just buy him a coffee give him the cakes & we should be right. ;)

He would have to be getting all this terrible bad advice if he didn't choose us .... surely. (Yes, I called you surely.)

I am looking forward to winning the premiership in 2013 with a team entirely built from draft picks. Bailey can get up on the stage and shout "Chris Judd, Robbie Warnock, Luke Ball ... YOU WERE WRONG!"

Like it Maurie like it !!! I'm of the thinking if he needs to be pressured or dazzeled (Dave) I don't want him.

And permit me to say that if Ball still wants to go to Collingwood as some have indicated, then he can expect to do plenty of watching.

If the Pies were lucky to fall into 4th place with an injury free season and an unbelievably easy fixture this year, I don't see them featuring in 2010.

They're getting stale after having the same coach for more than a decade without ultimate success. Buckley will be watching over MM's shoulder at every move. They are showing some signs that they might be on the decline and they need someone like Ball more than we do. That just about says it all.

I agree with your words here Mr Whispering, But will Collingwood be able to snare him? Port Adelaide have picks 8-9. Will they Let Luke Ball Get Through. Port Adelaide just Detest Collingwood as most of us here do. They will do them no favours. Will this make Mr Ball come directly to us or stay at the aints, so at least he will know his destination?

Stay Tuned.....

The only problem with this post is that Collingwood are at there most dangerous when they are written off. Overrate them like every Collingwood supporters and they will definately miss the 8.

According to Stephen Reilly in today's Australian:

LUKE Ball's future, at least for one more season, appears to be with St Kilda.

The estranged former captain and best-and-fairest winner is understood to be loathe to expose himself to the uncertainty of this month's national draft and continues to ignore interest from Melbourne, the only club able to offer him a certain way out of Moorabbin.

Ball, who attended the wedding of St Kilda teammate Michael Gardiner in South Melbourne yesterday, returned to Melbourne from a vacation in the US in the early hours of last Thursday but is expected to leave the country for a further holiday tomorrow without having met or even spoken with the Demons.

Not even the courtesy of a meeting and this from someone who was only good enough for the VFL when we last met St. Kilda in Round 22.

If this report is true it strengthens my view as seen in the thread title. I know that doesn't mean his manager couldn't have spoken to us, but that is not the same thing when a player is deciding his future. He would have at least spoken to the Coach to get a feel for the club. If true this bloke wants nothing to do with us and personally the feeling is mutual. Another sliver of motivation for the Demons.

I felt from the outset that St. Kilda was still a very real option for Ball. Melbourne was always the only other realistic option, and by the time we're beginning our triple hat-trick premiership blast from 2013-2017 he won't be good enough to make the side. I can see why beginning another rebuild and then not seeing the fruit of it doesn't appeal to him. Having said that, I can also see why Brent Moloney will likely rupture Ball's spleen in a crunching tackle next year.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
