Ask for a trade? You're jumping at shadows.

You've been spooked by that ridiculous post about Sylvia hypothetically asking for a trade due to the "disrespect" of not being put straight back in the side.

As if half a season of good form has earned it.

You are aware it has now been revealed he had 'carry-over' points with the leadership group after other indiscretions, similar to the tribunal?

Yes, I was well aware that the reason Sylvia was sent to Casey last weekend was related to the carry-over points issue.

I never said anything about him missing last week. He has to wear that, and I have no issue with that decision.

My point was, that I cannot see how the selection committee could justify not picking him 'this' week. Some have suggested that he may not be selected this week, and the fact that he's only on the extended bench leaves it an open possibility.

Not picking him simply because we don't want to win the game, as someone else intimated, would be ridiculous. That's what concerns me...

If the MFC as a club panders to players whims and is not willing to leave a player out for one match for fear they will leave, then we will truly be in a lot of trouble...

The club is bigger than any one man and the tail does not wag the dog.

You're not reading what I said.

I had no issue with the one match ban imposed by the leadership group. I'm worried that he might be named as an emergency this week and there'd be no justification for that...

Is that true? Where'd you hear that from?

No mate I understand perfectly.

He's done his time, he was one of the best at Casey on the weekend, he deserves a recall. I just would hate to see him ask for a trade now, after all that's happened...

We can't keep him out of the team any longer. Collecting a bloke behind the play isn't a capital offence last time i checked....

nupp ..you dont... youre still thinking in a week by week /this year mode. Playing out the rest of the year has to done with care and candour...and all players must do whats right for the right outcome. Simple as that

Well done to both Rohan Bail and Tommy Mac, looking forward to seeing what they can do. Definitely the only interesting thing about Sunday (apart from possibly seeing Jetta ruck  ).

The best bit is, after a loss this weekend we can pretty much breath a lot easier about the chances of priority pick, i for one have found this an extremely stressful time as a dees supporter and cant wait for r22 to be over!!

Well, thank god the truism is correct.

Thanks for fulfilling that prophecy...

That isnt good, imagine theese kind of injurys if we were accually pushing for the 8.

If you look at the injurys this year "the real injurys" weve been extremely unluky.

hahaha how did i know you were going to say that. Might Warnock actually have an injury? Its not that much of a help, I mean kangers don't have the biggest forward line. McIntosh might sneak down there for a bit but will be doing 70 - 80 % of the ruck work.

HF: Matt Campbell, Corey Jones, Brent Harvey

F: Leigh Adams, Drew Petrie, Lindsay Thomas

Folks...you have a simple choice..you can let it get to you and you end up with yor grundies in a twist and feeling bitter towwards this game/club etc ..or....you can embrace this farce for whatit is... A set of circumstances thrust upon us and not entirely in our control and one that we must make the bestfist of for our own good. Its a game within a game. So far.so good B)

Well said.

Shitttt I just read the last few posts. Far out we have been very unlucky this year, probley a good thing though. I wonder if he done this on the w/e or if he has been carrying it and they have decided to send him off to surgery so he can get right for next year?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
