After Hearing Cameron Schwabb & the great Dean Bailey speak on the radio this morning.

I doubt we will slip up against the kangaroos, but yes that could be the side that plays the shockers..Business as usual this week.

There will be more experimentations to come.

If North plays like they did against Carlton, and we don't do anything stupid, there shouldn't be any problem. Hopefully North plays a lot better than Richmond and lead from start to finish so that there isn't as much of a need to tank.

Yes, your opening sentence doesn't make sense. ;)

Furthermore to your post Titan. There wouldn't be a tag on Brent Harvey this week, would there?

I thought that last week DB was trying to give the tigers a good head start so as we could then play a game plan without so much blatent experimentation (similar to the Sydney game). Only problem was that the tigers were simply not good enough to kick 3 or 4 quick goals. Hopefully we don't draw North down to the same standard as us like we have against Port, Sydney and Richmond over the last month and they are able to take advantage of the situation.

Schwab and DB have made it very clear to the entire football world that they are going to continue "list management and experimentation" for the remainder of the season and Demetrou has backed DB to do this. We should be home free.

Even if we win this week, Freo can still beat us in rd 20. If Pav and Sandilands dominate, they'll beat us.

Only if they get selected to play... <_<

But we won't win if we fly to WA and try to play Freo this weekend, will we?

This first sentence is a carry on from the thread title.

Not rocket science.

If we ever want to lose, why would we play Newton & Miller anywhere else other than FF & CHF? Anybody else we play there (Warnock, Frawley) could only be an improvement. And why would we play PJ anywhere other than ruck changing in BP?

We're crap, but come on BBP...

Give us a little credit.

Lose to Freo? At the G?

Some people...

We turned up at HT last year 50 points down and still beat them. It was like the Stawell Gift - gave them a head start and they still lost.

If we win this Sunday it's done...

Freo have had the wood on us since 1995.

Freo have won 4 of the last 6 games at the MCG against us.

Freo beat Carlton away from Subi this year.

We're both rubbish footy clubs so I can't see how you can say one team will spank the other.

People seem to not consider the fact that we "were 50 points down at half time". Pretty sure we were trying in teh first half as well.

And what were they doing in the second half...

Freo are awful, it is at the G, we will win.

No, we should win. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. I think we will win, but I don't think it's as certain as most would believe.

Freo had 7 or 8 senior players in that game who have since retired or moved on i.e. Peter Bell, Matthew Carr, Josh Carr, McManus, etc.. They're a much younger outfit now, so I think we'll still be odds on to win unless we lose more players through injury this week...

Hopefully North put in a more 'honest' performance than the tiges...

And this is at the Dome right?......

Even at our best we couldn't win there, let alone now  !!!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
