Cheney is looking forward to playing with his red nut blood brother - Blease.

It will be a magical day when all the Indigenous boys play for MFC alongside Watts, Grimes, Morton, Blease, Strauss, Rivers and Mclean.

If a player plays two bad games, he is not worth mentioning apparently.

The bloke was second in the bluey last year after playing 12 games, but that stands for nothing in some peoples minds.

Support on this forum is so fickle. Mclean is one of the few who tries his guts out and genuinely competes at AFL level.

My god some supporters are fickle. He is not Judd but don't bag him for two games that were poor.

Well done to Aaron.

He is a leader and has been a great servant of the club so far and our most exciting player.

Let's hope he plays a hundred more.

Well done Flash, have a good game and give 'em hell!

Congratulations to Aaron for his 100th game.....

Hopefully it will be a stellar performance and one that will be remembered.

And with all luck we will get to see a lot more of that "flash" in games to come!!!

Posted

I hope we see Flash running down the wing into the forward line dodging and weaving as only he can do it for another 100 games.

Posted

I have been disappointed in his last couple of years but I do like him playing more in the back half he gives us something we have not got in the back half which is a player who can run the lines and use the ball well hopefully they will keep him there.

I don't know if I'm alone in thinking this but Davey was sensational last week. By far-and-away our best player. Here's hoping his 100th is just as good!

Certainly one of the most exciting players in the league when on top form and in full flight. A joy to watch. Personally I think he has the potential to be one of the best players in the league. He sort of plateau-ed a little bit in '07 and '08 I thought but he can still improve and we know how good his best is already. He's still only 25. Eight good seasons to come!

My Davey highlight (so far):

One of our matches in June/July 2006, when the World Cup was on the Socceroos were the talk of the town, Davey kicked a goal from 40 metres out, directly out of the air. Goooaaaaallll!

Congrats to Flash on making 100 games. Very good for someone to come off the Rookie list and have such an impact, though we have had a few of those now haven't we!

Davey pretty much revolutionized forward pressure, and the new small forward role. He may not have kicked on like we had hoped, but he is still a good player who has given us some very exciting moments.

Hope he has a good game, and is able to take that next step and become a great player for us, as he has an immense amount of talent to put to use.

Your post was magical until you got to McLean.

The way he's been frustrating us in recent games, and in recent years (since 2006), I can see Chook taking on Cameron Bruce-like infamy on this site.

Good Luck to flash in his 100th, hope he continues his form from last week and hopefully we can celebrate his 100th with a win

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
