The point I'm making is not actually about jumper sales though. It's about broadening the lens on assessing a player's worth to a club.

 

You can assess it in many ways. If he's on $500k a year I'd be expecting more out of him than what he's currently providing on and off field. Perhaps that is what the club is thinking as well. They may be able to free up some Cap space to bring in a free agent next year.

Oh no - two of those were "the wind" as Goodwin pointed out. His theory was to bomb long into it and then let the opposition force stoppages when we had the gale at our backs. Two terrible coaching efforts-really very poor-and Jack Watts was in the team perhaps but you can chalk the Hobart and Canberra debacles down to Goodwin.

I do agree with that 100% but the effort shown by Watts in those games was shocking.

Getting rid of Watts is equally about how Goodwin wants us to play next year, as it is about his lack of discipline off field.

Never seen Lloyd floating across half back,ruck all day when needed, running up and down the wing, or setting up every goal Dom Tyson ever kicked as well as being a better set shot than 35/13

He didn't have to, as he was always the one with the ball.

And seriously, the 73 kg Robbie was far more courageous than the 96kg Jack has ever been.

Robbie went in head over the ball, Jack doesn't.

As I said I really like Jack but lets not make him it out to be what he isn't.

He is a sublimely skilled footballer who plays the game on his terms. Pulling out of contests and not making footy your number 1 priority is not the Goodwin mantra.
