I think the Saints are going to throw huge cash at him 600 - 650k a year over 4.

I only think he is worth 400 -450 a year.

He's overrated, no doubt about that. I'd still pay him 750k a year though if it meant he signed today.

I hope that you dont value any of my property!!

In terms of todays footballer, if you can play in a variety of roles successfully, your net worth is only going to increase. Last year we would all have said his best is purely as a key back playing closer to goal. This year we have seen him play high forward and closer to goal, which im sure also would help him if he does end up returning back.

In my opinion, if he signs his next contract assuming its a 4 year deal, it will be around 2.5 million. Fremantle, brisbane, carlton, st kilda, hawthorn, adelaide and possibly geelong would all pay that to get him next year.

I think the brown and gold clowns might be looking for a solid defender and after Buddy left them with a lot to spend, Lake might not go another year it might be a spot vacant.

I dont want him to go but as it has played out this year, Roos is straight forward and might have had a sit down and asked "what are the chances of you being in red and blue next year?" and was told not good to which Roos went about building his defence for the future and knowing Spud is a good posability of not being there.

I could be wrong and im not speaking with any insider knowledge etc but thats what i think. The buddy deal was dont the year previous and was sat on for a season. whats to say the hawks didnt do the same.

I like our defence as it stands. I would love to have Spud in there too but the boys down back are awesome.

Frawley is worth 600k I reckon , as the team rises you will see more and more his value as a defender who consistently beats monsters

Oddly, every game we win reduces Frawley's trade value. If we finish bottom we get pick 1 and pick 2 as compensation. If we finish 10th we get pick 10 and 11 as compensation. Etc. There must be some happy medium value at which point we try to keep Frawley because his trade value has been too greatly diminished. That said, Roos seems to think that there is not a whole lot of difference between picks 1 and, say, 10. So the Dees might just feel consecutive picks anywhere in the top 10 are too good to knock back.

(Disclaimer: Other clubs' compo picks may throw out the rankings.)

He is a required player, but not for more than 650k a year.

TBH I suspect he'll stay. Just seems silly to jump ship now that the pieces are coming together. Hawthorn can't have too long left with such tired legs about the place.

Sounds like a big lead up to a nothing story.

On Frawley, I'm still convinced he'll stay.

Bootsma re-hired by carlton as they realised the dirty pictures were actually sent to Justin beiber and reporters on the scene understandably mistook him for a teenage girl

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
