Think Hogan might struggle to get up with his knee. Dawes must go as should Garlett. Think it might be time to try the Weed or Huelett. Maybe Terlich should get a game as a forward. Kennedy and Clarry will also be considered.

Out: Harmes, Wagner, Garlett, Dawes

In: Oliver, Pedo, Salem (if fit), Hullett.

Garlett to the VFL please

Incredible how overrated he is

Matt Jones, never to play again, diabolical foot skills.

Harmes, has been below standard for a while.

Kent, borderline, but see Harmes.

I hate how he takes possession is in the clear and runs in2 a tackle because he is 2 slow 2 kick or handball

Could be a variety of players up for a rest/dropped.  For me, it might be:

In:  Kennedy, Bugg, Weideman, Oliver

Out:  Harmes, Garlett, Dawes, Hogan

Or something like that anyway.  We could use some fresh legs at any rate, and Kennedy, Bugg and Oliver provide us with that.  Weideman to come in for Hogan if his knee injury doesn't improve.

In: Weideman Oliver

Out: Dawes Harmes (if not right)

Newton looked in great touch. Has earned a recall.

Michie can hit targets and by god do we need that.

Oliver is class and should play out the year in the firsts.

Pedo is an upgrade on Dawes.

Garlett gets a second chance he probably doesn't deserve but he's a game changer on his day.

Out: Harmes, M Jones, Wagner, Dawes

In: Oliver, Newton, Michie, Pedersen

Dawes out permanently.

Maybe give huellet a run.  I'd give Kennedy and Oliver a show. Out for those two I don't know. Probably about half the side.

He got a lot of the ball, his disposal was amateur standard at best.

He had a red hot dip, and that's more than you can say for about 5 or 6 others

oscar mcdonald. turn over king

frost. turn over queen. carnt kick.

wagner. turn over prince. misses easy targets

tom mcdonald. turn over princess. no nouse

surly dunn, garland, pedoson and grimes arnt all behind these guys. coaching staff have put a line through there names next year.

In: 3 competent umpires who don't make it up as they go along.

Out: 15 nonsensical possessions across the full back line that lead to ,........ What exactly ???

Seriously, some of you are obviously completely biased or you just name the same names every week without watching the game.

Please do not tell me you think Dawes deserves to be there next week stuie.

Of course he does. He's provided more than Hogan the last two weeks. Simple as that. He most likely won't be around next year, but let's actually pick a team on form instead of who our favourties are etc.

Sorry Everyone but I have to agree with the Stumeister.

He took two Dawesy chest marks then he built his confidence up and got Two Overhead Grabs!!

The first one raised a huge cheer on the wing and everyone said "finally" or "about time" or words to that extent.

His overall contribution on the day means he stays and gets to play Hawthorn and do something on field against them.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
