Great no Rivers again.

How the hell did Moloney get dropped. He's one of our only players with balls.

And how did Weetra and Garland survive.

Colour me perplexed. Surprised Moloney was dropped, but not that surprised Petterd was dropped. Young or not, his game the other day was average.

Glad Yze is out, and happy with all the ins. Disappointed about no Rivers though. Hope it's not bad news.

I would have been happy to see Petterd get another crack, and am happy that Garland and Weetra have been given another opportunity.

Hmm.. cant say Im upset to see Adem 'rested' in the Magoos... Am suprised about Petterd...maybe hes a bit underdone after all. I dont think Weetra deserved to go down ( not compared to others ) Moloney :wacko:

How isnt Rivers a starter ??

For the answers to these and other questions....go see him >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Moloney dropped! he was the only one that tried!

We must be tanking!

i refuse to believe that moloney has been dropped. Maybe he didnt pull up 100% given he did miss most of last year??

good to see bartram, sylvia, and dunn in, high hopes for all 3

rivers and wheels next week hopefully

'belzebub59', it may be that rivers is pulling up a little sore after VFL matches, if so they may think he won't stand up to the the extra stresses of AFL YET. :(

Rivers?

Wow Why!!!

Yze out good!

Moloney out!???? WTF!!! he was one of the best!!! Surely this cant be for on-field performance? Maybe off-field!! Only reason i can think off!!!

I don't think Moloney would have been dropped... which can only mean one thing.... injury. ARGH!!!

I think you may be right Jaded.

Dean's playing a bit of funny buggers IMO...

Moloney, dropped? Ahead of Bruce, Green, Wheatley, White, Robertson and the plethora of other 'hacks' from last weeks performance...

You've got to be kidding... !

He's in the emergencies though. Sure he's injured?

We'll see if he plays for Sandy this week or not.

I can't believe they would have dropped him. He was probably one of our best out there.

Absolute stupidity to drop two young players in Moloney and Petterd, who both had reasonable games, and leave in a whole host of senior players who are not pulling their weight (for a change  ).

Yes shame no Rivers, and with that Full Forward line the Doggies are going to be running the ball out of defence so fast my heads spinning already.

Surely DB is having a lend of us, we could not possibly line up like that and be serious about winning!

Petterd was rubbish on the weekend. IMO he was worse than either of Green or Bruce (which is clearly what you're getting at). Yes he had plenty of friends, but I certainly wouldn't have described his game as "reasonable". Young or not.

I've got no explanation about Moloney though, assuming no injury. I didn't think he was bad enough to be dropped.

The fact is he still has shown a lot more than Garland and Weetra.

After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

2024 Player Reviews: #5 Christian Petracca

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
