Brad Green

i would only trade Green for a top 12 pick.

otherwize its simply not worth it.

Green has come top 7 in our b&f the last 6 years! he is a model of inconsistently. he is only 26/27 yrs old, and imo should be captain next season.

the reason this trade probably wont eventuate is that Melbourne will want too much for him, and other teams wont be willing to part with much to get him.

cant see him being traded.

Interesting stuff and a obvious answer from CAC . Would need to be very very worthwhile offer for us even to speak to anyone about it.

What time do they go too at the dome? IS it monday- friday 9-5?

Several clubs are interested in Brad Green. Melbourne said that something pretty special would have to be offered to let Brad Green go.

Sold, to the highest bidder. Shouldn't this be in trade talk though Freak?

If somebody offered a top 15 pick for him, I would probably take it. What is he, 28 next year? It's a tough call, but I would seriously consider a top-15 pick for him.

Seconded... perhaps apart from the Captain part, but he IS a leader.

Unfortunately if CAC is serious about getting some more decent picks, he has to realise that it's these players, Green, Bruce, Davey, etc. who are going to be inquired about.

The right price won't come. I wouldn't take anything less than a top 5 and that won't be offered. He won't be traded.

I don't think he's quite that good. He's a leader, but he's an outside player, and his kicking is erratic. The number of times I've seen him drill a ball onto the chest of a leading forward is vastly outweighed by the number of times he floats the ball high inside 50, and thats in both our good and bad years. His goalkicking has also lapsed significantly in the past 2 seasons. I like him, as a player and a person, but I would hate to think we wouldn't seriously consider a top-10 pick for him.

Top 10 in a heartbeat. But he's not worth that and it won't happen! Which side needs him that badly?

He could round out a side that is on the brink of a flag challenge very nicely, but inherently those who are in such a position do not have top-10 picks. He would fit nicely into a team like Collingwood (Pick 14 plus a young KPP perhaps?... I would be loathe to see him turn out for the filth though), Hawkthorn (12 + Roughnut?), Adelaide (10 + Meesen?), all of whom are close-ish to a challenge, and have lost a significant midfield presence to retirement this year. There are a raft of clubs that he could go to, in fact, but most would be quite reticent about parting with fair compensation for him.

i reakon alot of clubs would be interested. he can play in the middle and as a decent forward.

I would love to see him played mostly as a forward next year and rotate through the middle for about 15 mins a game to give the midfielders a rest. unfortunatly we dont have enough decent midfielders yet to allow him into the forward zone.

Top 10 pick or don't come knocking on our door you vultures.

Would hate to trade away one of the only senior players we have with some real leadership qualities.

Having said that, Green is expendable.

Green to Dogs for pick 5?

He can play forward or midfield or half back. Why not?

lol.that is a ridiculous statement. pick5! not a chance in hell would we get that. I think the only player that would get a top 5 pick would be Mclean or Davey or even Jones if we were really really lucky. Green is too old to get a top 5 pick.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
