Judd to Carlton

Dreamin' Demon

This will be the last comment I make on Judas. I've had a day to get over his foolishness, and am absolutely staggered that he has once and for all been revealed as a strumpet of the lowest order. What a shameless money-grab. It's a pity we don't have rules in place to discourage tampering with contracted players during seasons as is the case in the US.

Anway, now that Judas has named Carlton as his choice, the Blues can basically give West Coast a cardboard box full of Bill Cosby's old sweaters in return, as he can nominate for the PSD and set a price too high for Richmond.

You have to laugh really. Thank goodness I won't have to endure seeing that swine and that filthy, filthy bunch of cheats win a premiership during his stained career.

Public enemy number one.

Carlton will never learn, you cant just throw money at a problem and hope it gets better, didn’t they learn their lesson with Elliot?. Im hearing something ridiculous like $9mil over 5 years!!! That’s almost $2mil a year out of their salary cap each year, good luck holding on to any gun players they may unearth in the future. hope they continue to drown at the bottom of the ladder and he becomes the biggest laughing stock in football, if he isnt already

G'day Fellow Demons Supporters!

Yes the reports are true.

Here is the link: http://www.carltonfc.com.au/Default.aspx?t...mp;newsId=52032

I guess Chris Judd must have liked that digitally altered image of him in a Carlscum jumper which was in the papers a few weeks ago!

I can respect Chris' decision. It's his life. He can do what he wants.

That doesn't mean I'm not disappointed.

In fact I was quite saddened when he said "no" to the Demons. :(

He had the chance to play for the team he barracked for a kid and make his childhood dreams come true. But he chose in the end to be greedy and worry more about the glitz and glamor that was offered to him by the Billionaire Mr Pratt.

The funny thing is, Carlscum have facilities just as poor as us. And it will take 2 years to have them up to standard..........the same time it will take us!

I hope the Melbourne players definitely REMIND HIM of how he snubbed our club when we play against him!

Perhaps we should have given Chris Judd lunch at a nice fancy restaurant to woo him?

Time to move on Demons! We don't need one player to win a Premiership! We need an entire TEAM!

GO DEMONS IN 2008!

also, Carlton is going to be scarily good next year...

Chris Judd, Andrew Carrazo, Brendan Fevola, Brad Fischer, Marc Murphey, Bryce Gibbs, Heath Scotland, Nick Stevens, Kade Simpson, Jarryd Waite, Andrew Walker, Paul Bower, Shaun Hampson, Jordan Russel, Shaun Grigg + Kruiser!!!

That is some rediculous young talent made up almost completely of 1st round picks.

Jordan Russel- pick 9

Marc Murphey- pick 1

Andrew Walker- pick 2

Chris Judd- pick 3

Bryce Gibbs- pick 1

Paul Bower- pick 20

Shaun Hampson- pick 17

Shaun Grig- pick 19

just to name a few...

with the best player in the afl they could easily make the 8 next year and will be huge challengers in 2 years.

Except, nothing is for nothing. They will have to trade hard to get him. The WCE are [censored] as that he only gave one choice, and so they will play hardball and may even try to force his hand to accept one of the other clubs.

I think he will go to Carlton, but their list won't be the same if he goes there.

Well if we know anything about Carlton, most of that will try to be buried. The AFL salary payment system isn't perfect, Carlton will think they have found a way to bend the rules... I want the AFL auditors to go through the whole deal with fine tooth comb. 2 million a year is unsustainable for any list.

O well.

Just so we are on the same page.....

When we play Carlton, I want Boo's.

When he gets the ball I want to hear a boo bigger than what Ben Johnson got for his hit on Bell (MUCH BIGGER)

I want signs that read Sell Out, I want Signs that read Judd=Money Hungry.

As great as it was when the big Finals over thing happened to Collingwood. I want more on Judd. I will not forget this slap in the face.

I can't believe this. I genuinely cannot fathom this. 1.8m per season? Thats disgusting. What's more disgusting is that he's led us all on this merry dance and made us all believe it was not about the money. This is a dogs act if ever I've known one.

Whats more, everything he said he wanted... all lies. What about facilities? What about the MCG? What about on-field success?

Well, we don't know what the contract terms are, do we? We also don't know Carlton will seal the deal at the trade table.

But yes, when Judd said:

- Good facilities

- Chance of immediate success

- MCG

- I would have signed on to the East Coast Eagles for under the market remuneration

he clearly wasn't referring to Carlton. Therefore, he's a tool.

I wish Chris Judd the future he deserves ...... and may the kharma faeries visit you often.

To have gone to the Filth I might have understood begrudgingly, but Carlton !!

We wil enjoy watching your progress ( or lack of ) in the minor eight as we contest finals !!

To think youve made a deal with the devil when you could have had DEMONS !!

What a joke.

The club had the cattle and the new coach for the last six rounds, and lost all six.

Enjoy mediocrity, Mr. Judd!

I don't get it. He tells us our facilites aren't good enough, then goes to Carlton where they're almost as bad. I reckon he could have thought of a better excuse than to publicly shame us like he did.

where do they train in the summer? princess park is being used by the cricket club isn't it? appropriate name, princess park for the biggest princess going around

Carlton will give up pick 3 and 20 for sure...plus a player. Kennedy fits the mould, bc he is relatively expendable by Carlton, but was pick 4 in a strong draft and is a 20yrold 200cm key positioin player...

people may think that pick 3,20 and kennedy is not much to give up...

still quite a lot to give up

I said exactly this 2 weeks ago on Demonland. .

Well he's achieved everything in footy. Maybe now he just wants the money!!!!

The fact is that he would have been able to get stacks of it wherever he went. From in and outside the football club.

If he is really getting $1.8 million a year, then it is inevitable that Fevola is going to the Eagles

Judd has, in my mind, turned from a champion, into a joke.

The thing that really shits me, is that a team that spends half a season CHEATING to try and get the best possible draft picks, also win the services of the best player in the league. It makes me sick that our competition allows such a thing to happen.

Good on ya Judd, hope you enjoy your pockets full of money, and your wooden spoons as you play on top of a car-park, training in the crappiest facilities around. You are a disgrace to our sport, which for so long was built around the team and the jumper, not the paycheck.

Well well well.....what an utter tossbag Judd has turned out to be.

Carlton have nothing over us, apart from more fans. We have, imo, better premiership prospects, will have A grade facilities soon and play at the MCG.

EVERYTHING Judd has said is a lie. And to say that the reason for not nominating Melbourne was the facilities.......words fail.

Well I agree with Demons32....next year when we play Carlton, I want to see big signs that will catch the tv cameras saying Chris Judd = Sellout and so forth.

I guess the fancy restaurant and glitter worked a treat on the young jerk.

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo

It’s been hard to miss the seismic global momentum happening in Women’s sport of late. The Matildas have been playing to record sell-out crowds across Australia and ‘Mary Fowler is God’ is chalked onto footpaths everywhere. WNBA basketball rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has almost single-handedly elevated her Indiana Fever team to unprecedented viewership, attendances and playoffs in the USA.   Our female Aussie Paris 2024 Olympians won 13 out of Australia’s all-time record 18 gol
