Is it just me or can anyone else see a HUGE Freo choke!

They’re not a reliable team. Stacked with talent but just not sure about the coach

Heaps of top end talent, but stacked with a few too many jobbers....Darcy, Worner, Wagner, Erasmus, Brayshaw, Johnson....just not much chop

Freo way to go we are the Freo CHOKERS

Blue Baggers in my uneducated view , the bottom four players on their best 23

Are not good enough (yet) they might or might not be ever, fumble. Fail to clear with cool clean skills. It’s like watching the mighty demons 10 years ago. Try hard and get no where.

A coaching direction thing and talent spotting thing. Glad I do not support them !

He’s been a disappointment for Freo.

Aside from a nice side step I’m not sure what else he offers. He can’t be trusted against the oppo’s premier small forward such as Rankine.

Five goals all up in a half of footy, positively riveting.

Only 8 less goals than the quarter time tally of last night.

Expecting a rush of goals in the second half. 4 goals to 2.

Does Fox Footy not think we can see they’ve all been told to talk up Collingwood to keep their supporters watching? This game has been seriously mediocre, and Fox is trying to make out like this is an epic.

Add in the "Gather Round is AWESOME" multiplier and you've got a recipe for some serious over-egging of the commentary.

Don't forget the AFL umpire equaliser affect

Already in play. It's done by old fashioned semaphore...with a combo of freo and pies flags.

I'm backing Freo despite the pies looking better. But I think pies are more a dry weather team so here's hoping Freo bring it home.

Hating cwood is like following two teams.

Actually I hate Essendon and Port almost as much so that's several good games a week to watch.

Thursday night footy is well worth it and obviously rates well given it's still going.

I wonder if we will ever follow the USA and have a game every night . I hope so.

Thoughts?

I know there's an old saying in the states that Monday night footy was created because it bought large amounts of gambling and thus viewing. Suckers trying to win back their weekend losses.

But I just like winding down watching it. There's just so much rubbish unreality TV and movies that are rubbish.

Netflix is full of real crime docos passed off as ' docufilms,' from America ( so much for their investment in local content) .

I speculate that the from the 180 million they rake in from Oz they put in about 4 million of content back.

Its a joke with a punchline of ....suckers.

Prime is probably the best value, because of price and better content.

I think Kayo is reasonably priced but not for a digital membership as your locked in for the year. And I'm not sure how much the clubs get.

If you want to financially support the club just get a 6 month kayo sub and give the difference of a DM to the club.

What a pathetic game. Zero skills

There’s three of those goals already!

Anyone know why or how Murphy Reid wasn’t a single digit draft pick?

What was the knock on him at draft time?

Objectively responsible for the last 2 Freo goals.

back to normal transmission now

I turned it off at half time... Terrible game but the weather and slippery ball is somewhat to blame.

Put all your eggs in one basket (Gather Round) and the weather gods can punish you

Was never a big loss. Folks on here thought he was the second coming.

He looks to have embraced the rebounding half back role …. oh wait that was Clark.

Heaps of cwood supporters.

It's the humidity...they come out like cockroaches

Doing their bit to conserve the nations petrol reserves.

I suppose you can squash in eight or nine into an old ford cortina if you take the back seats out and lock two in the boot.

Fair enough. Used to do the same at the drive ins.

Freo need to nan up asap.

Good defending and big kick.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
