Loud crowd at Hawks Geelong, sounds like 100,000

Definitely a decent crowd.

Apparently a non ticketed game. Will be interesting to hear the feedback

Weddle should have taken Essendon's Godfather offer

there was no offer

there was a media campaign after the trade period in 2025 that the peptides would target him on a big money deal after his contract was up

i can't see a player leaving dingley to go to the peptides at this point in time

Hawks losing free kicks 16-7

fans losing it

no, dingley changed it - it went from fully ticketed (e.g. you needed to upgrade to an assigned seat etc. if you were mcc / afl members etc.) to not

i'd guess it's 85k+ at the moment; sounds great and looks packed

Umps called a hawks 25m kick not 15 i side 50. Everyone shocked

they really want to Cats to be in this

The umps are making quite a few mistakes in this game yes? Or paying some and not others? Just watching I feel like things aren't consistent

Deafening when Hawthorn are near it, not so much Geelong. Very one sided crowd.

Walsh is a very good player, he's just surrounded by knuckleheads

Totally overated Butcher of the Sherrin, Blues reap what you sow and in Walsh u have a near dud. Cripps seems to be Running on Empty. HOW FRIGGEN GOOD?? Now for Filth to go into a 4 -5 week slump! AND cop a Full strength DEES outfit on Kings Birthday only to see us send them into a Klingon off world colony mining Borite!

Hawthorn can’t run out games, they’re absolutely knackered off the ball. A fair few walking when ball isn’t near them or bent over tired.

Tom Stewart for Geelong is also buggered.

I'm neutral today

hate both teams equally

Indeed. And it's that hate that ultimately produces a nonchalance to who wins that has prevented me from actually watching these games in full. I tune in to a quarter here or there over the years if its close (ie just now) - Heck, even the Prelim last year i tuned into the radio broadcast infrequently just to check the score. Can't be bothered with you annoyingly successful clubs!

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
