If we get 7 and 8 I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to split 8 into a later pick and a future 1st.

WC apparently interested in pick 7/8.

I said in BH thread if GCS give up 7,8 which is about 3000 points. How do they both their academy kids if they are bid on in the top 5? they’ll only have enough points for 1 so I doubt this is accepted.

Perhaps it’s TL knowing they won’t accept this and are forced to give up on Trac or hand over BH.

Has to play a part in this, though I would imagine there's a way of leaving them with enough points.

I think we will chase 3 firsts including a future (GC likely will not have a top 15 or 20 prospect in next years draft) and give a bit back for points for GC.

GC will also pick up points from other players leaving.

I cant see GC getting to a prelim next season without a player like Tracc and Hardwick knows this and will push his list management to make this trade happen.

That could potentially unlock something

If we can trade them 7+8 for 2 then we would look at it

It too occuredto me would Weagles be tempted. If 7/8 .. me I'd like 2 and change... something towards White or such.

I still think were too short changed if that's all CAC is offering .

7 and 8 for 2 is doable from my end. Don't want to give up 24 in the deal with GC though. Still want Humphrey but each day it feels less likely if it ever was.

Humphrey -+ picks for Petracca.

Otherwise, no.

Not hard.

Yep otherwise he stays!

Ultimately we just don't even need to do those trade unless we win from it so if we bend over I'll spew

But the happy clappers promised us it would be Humphrey or the deal is off.

are people that disagree with you happy clappers?

if not, how do you define happy clappers?

posters that expect too much from a trade?

honestly just curious

Would be disappointing not to get a player back. Suns have a lot of talent.

Picks can be hit and miss but if it is 7&8 we can hope for some luck in the draft

Sam Grlj (Butters like), Sully Robey, Josh Lindsay, Dyson Sharp, Osker Taylor and Mitch Marsh are the names that should be on our priority list.

i dont like sharp, hes the old school accumulator without poise/foot skills, similar to smilie last year and i guess clarry to some extend, theres room for those types in teh afl but probably no longer a priority in the top 5.

grjl is growing on me, and ur interest in rogers probably is a nod to that type of player

robey is the long term target

and im still a dovaston man

My read is that Eagles want to trade up to pick 7 or 8 to give them 3 picks inside 10.

More likely that they want to bundle the mid-range picks they have and MAYBE a future 1st to get there.

I'd happily do pick 8 for 12 and a future 1st. Wonder if Eagles would be stupid enough to do it.

Doubtful. They’re paying $1.01 to win the spoon in 2026

What do picks 7/8 do if the draft is shallow & having to wait for a player to develop or are they targeting a gun in contract ?

How this trade plays out or doesn’t play out, will tell us a lot about what we can except under the new administration headlined by Guerra and King

If we relent to the demands of a newbie nepo baby club and a petulant diva, then we have not changed anything other than the bum cheeks warming the seats

Oliver I can understand why we told him to go as he strikes me as a high maintenance individual and at some point the cost of that was starting to equal or exceed the value we got with him being on the field. GWS Is good for players like that one of the best examples being Jesse Hogan

Trac however strikes me more as a dummy spit, and the only one who is going to regret this move will be him. Gold Coast are a pointless club, low supporter base and are based in a part of the country with a high transient population i.e. no-one cares. He is going to miss the attention and he seems like the kind of player that feeds off that.

So we would look at it if 2 but not if 7+8??

From what I know of this pool I’d prefer two of the group available at 7+8 than 1 of Duursma/CDT/Robey. If Duursma went at 1 (likely) then it is pretty much the bolter Robey at 2 as I couldn’t see us taking a young ruckman (especially when we’ve committed to Kalani).

I think its time for the Club to put its big biy suit on.

Pack up the papers, close the brief case and leave this meeting for now.

Obviously GC aren't taking it seriously.

We dont have to let Tracc go.

We made it abundantly clear they had to sell us the deal we aren't handing out lollies ( unlike down the road at Homebush... )

Gold Coast need to do better.

So id be giving them a ... yeah nahh just at the moment.... get back to us if you want to do this properly.

Im dead serious.

Walk away Melbourne

Just a thought would Jy Simpkin be worth any of the picks from GC?

Not worth a top 10 pick
