Yeah no worries. Boy took it out of me.

People can pick whichever truth they wish to believe.

Don't worry, they will.

Appreciate your efforts.

he's going to play good games, bad games and nothing games in between.
Let's not get too lost in yesterday

Mongrel in the group???? Yeah just like the Maynard Bonhommie session of a few years ago! Mongrel...what a laugh! We are like Baby Gummy sharks without any gums!

Hence my comments!!

Spoke to a mate of mine this morning who is a very keen GWS fan, he iterated several things,

1 His best is still pretty formidable and he has had influence in goal transitions and contested ball gets.

2 Team mates are seemingly ignoring his leads when in outside space which he could'nt figure out

3 He would be leading the GWS B and F after 3 rounds

Not all glooom and doom as some have suggested here!

That would explain why they have lost the past 2 games then

You’re making this up picket

There’s no such thing as a very keen GWS fan

Taking a GWS nuffy fan as credible source for this is laughable Pickett.

Anyone Melbourne supporter would be saying the exact same thing this time last year.

Occams Razor .The club got caught up in all cultural and peripheral issues and missed the obvious that he was too good to let go.

And he was a huge part of the 'cultural and peripheral issues' that you mention.

Do you not see the irony in what you just said?

I'm trying to get my head around it it !!is almost Oxymoronish!

Thanks for taking the time out in drafting up such a comprehensive assessment @rpfc

To give up such valuable time out of your day is much appreciated.

The MFC traded Oliver because of his behavior issues and the effect this was having on the playing group - and for no other reasons.

His performance at GWS is really totally irrelevant to the MFC. The trade was necessary and was done. End of story. I wish him well.

It's nowhere near the end of the story. This is Demoland and we're only up to 119 pages. He's still got a couple, three, four, five years left on our payroll.

It was a joke. A bit of social commentary on the nature of ‘research’ in 2026. I thought it was actually very funny, but then I should remember the golden rule of Demonland…

‘No humour after a loss’.

Clarry was supposed to be a part of the Gawn party yesterday. He stayed in Melbourne after the GWS game and a few things had been smoothed out between Clarry and people in the footy department. The club were looking forward to welcoming him back albeit in an unofficial capacity.

Sadly Clarry was a no show. Nobody at the game at the time knew why. Max found out later it was because Clarry had been out at Circus the night before til 6am.

Didn’t even have the decency to let Max know. Sadly sums up the type of person Clarry has turned into, and why the club made the only responsible decision they could’ve in letting him go.

Just a desperately sad situation, the bloke should’ve retired as the greatest MFC player in history.

The private side rooms at Circus, Turbo and Glamarama have missed Clarry over the last few months.

has this been 100% verified. I know you have inside intel so not having a go but I'm not sure this is true. Apologies if i'm wrong.

If you mean verified in terms of being leaked to the media? I highly doubt we will see this information in mainstream media. There is a lot of this stuff that players get up to after hours that never gets reported or verified.

@Dee Boys has incredible sources as he is closely connected to a current player so I absolutely take him on face value. All of his inside information he has shared with me privately has all come to fruition.

Example A, such as the Kolt tagging Nas which he messaged me on the Saints game on Sunday morning that this would be happenning. Before you know it, Kolt was running around next to Nas in the first minute of the game 👏

Top-tier talent five years ago.

Huge ongoing personal issues ever since .

Has been going steadily downhill.

Still a useful performer but also a serious off-field liability.

What a waste........

Not all glooom and doom as some have suggested here!

Finn Callahan and possibly Lachie Ash would be comfortably ahead of Clayton atm in their B&F

Oliver has done ok in his first three games - the real question is can he sustain that form and how much TOG does he get when Tom Green, Daniels and Bedford etc. return

I watch all their games, many of them live, and I really don't think we are worse off with him missing - he is not the player he once was sadly

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
