That’s all true… on any other day but this one. They knocked Collingwood out of the running. Tonight we love them

Collingwood being gone makes me extremely happy, but I don't think I could ever say I love a team Dayne Zorko plays for, I'd be too busy dry heaving.

I'm a simple man at heart - Demons first, every other team last.

Demons first, whoever is playing Collingwood second.

I forgot Collingwood were actually 10 points clear on top during the season.

Thank goodness we don't have to put up with them next week

Wonderful.

But once again Kayo froze again with 5 mins till go and couldn’t be restarted for about 5 min. If you possibly can, do not pay them any money. And next year it will come complete with ads taking up space during play. Now to cancel my sub.

Always watch on the fox footy channel not the game day channel Sue. No problem today

Suffer pie supporters given it to us as one hit wonders straight sets etc, they didn’t play finals after their flag and are out the following year…

Win win next week.

If Cats win, OUR coach gets more experience in a great culture.

If Lions win, great too (because it’s not those scummy Pies!!!)

Huge win for Melbourne.

The CBD will be a nicer place next weekend.

"Is Fly the right Guy?"

So I wonder who each team will choose to present the cup.

Geelong I reckon would always want ablett snr to do it but he wouldn't want the spotlight. Asking selwood would be a nice gesture especially after a terrible year for him.

Brisbane, well Voss obviously can't do it, Leigh did it last year.

Eyes clearly on the. Ball. Not the player. Very little contact. Play On

Seemed like a blatantly obvious free kick to me. took the arms and front on.

That just makes it funnier to me

Jesus. STFU about the arm chop / front on contact decision FFS.

Cant believe it's half past 8, the games been over for an hour.....what am I supposed to do now?

Dunstall and riewoldt arguing about that free.

How about the 2 non holding the ball free kicks I saw that Brisbane didn't get.

Move on

I was not planning on watching tonight, however, my mum is visiting and insisted we turn on the game... It was tough going in the middle, and my sister and I started to pre-emptively drink... but delighted with that final quarter stomping 😁😁😁

Don’t want be a pedant but like… deelighted. It’s in your name, haha

Pies get beat by 29 points, and one free reversed would have saved them…

What are those stages of grief?

Just an update, Collingwood big footy forums still kaput!!

The servers doing a good job of mimicking Jermey Howe.

So that’s what Tracc’s problem has been all along.

Trac underperformed this year, blind Freddy knows that…. He should aspire to take his game to Dangerfield levels from last nights prelim. Aim high as he has the talent to achieve that

Unless you think otherwise of course?

Or the ludicrous advantage to Faicos after he had fallen to the ground and like 10 seconds had passed after the umpires called the free kick.

But you see, that’s not what you originally said. You said Tracc can achieve such “… if he wants to…” which I took to mean he hasn’t wanted to. I’m pretty sure he’s always wanted to, even this season, and that’s while still recovering mentally and physically from an horrific injury.

Gather ‘round y’all… it’s presser time!

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
