MFC media reporting Billings and the MFC have decided to mutually part ways. So, maybe he is not delisted in the same way the other players were. He may be joining another club as a free agent, but is not as far along in the process as Spargo.

Then I wonder why Marty Hore was announced as a delisting yesterday? He and the club decided to mutually part ways three weeks ago (20th August).

Sounds like the club said we might offer you a contract depending on the trade period and JB said he’d rather look elsewhere

Jumper numbers that are now vacant

#9, #14, #27, #28, #33, #38, #41

9+14+27+28+33+38+41=190.

If we define a function;

and in the formula, x = 190;

we get ‘2026’. Make of this what you will.

The elongated hyphen is back @Ghostwriter 😂

Luci, yes I think it's 3 Senior slots, but only 2 A-Rookie slots so far because we have Henderson, Kentfield, AMW and Culley?

My bad!

Thanks. Forgot Henderson.

I don't think Kynan and Sestan were give a chance to prove themselves considering on how bad our seniors were.

sestan was injured for a long period of time while pup brown is unfortunately one of the worst kicks of a football to be on an afl list

Wow...

A thread that includes discussion on delistings, algebra and compound modifiers at the same time!

Only on ye olde D'land 😄

This is what keeps me comin' back!

Yeh you have to feel a little for Ollie.

Brown dog i get. This was his year to step up and didn't get there unfortunately.

Meanwhile Sesto has a decent injury absence mid-season just when he appeared to be finding his feet down back.

No serious look in at senior level at any stage this season. Not that he was knocking the door down prior to this one either, but he was on the cusp in glimpses in 25 imv.

He also had multiple stints on the sidelines over his tenure with soft tissue leg problems from memory which may have impeded his development somewhat.

Before youse lay the boot in to the club, maybe Billing’s simply requested not to have his delistment advertised in the daily planet.

Probably wished to advise his family and old Saints mates before they read about his demise.

Agree.

I reckon there's a good chance he'll be picked up by another team, perhaps the Eagles or even the tigers as they probably need some experience.

Collingwood Demonlander equivalent is called “Inmates” counting up to 10 is their advanced level of discussion!

He's worked with the Richmond and WC coaches, yes? Maybe he could a slot with one of them.

The Daily Planet? I thought they closed that place down! 😂

Yes, and Revolution 9 was one of the Beatles worst songs and may have been a start to them going their separate ways, 14 Years was a song on GnR's Use Your Illusion, 27 is the age a lot of musicians have famously died, Aussie bands 28 Day had hits such as Rip it Up and What's The Deal?, 38 Special had a song Second Chance released coincidentally in 1988 when we came second and finally Sum 41 had song In Too Deep.

Ethan, you may be overthinking this! 😉

This isn't one of those trick formulas where no matter what the inputs the answer is always the same???

and um btw what was the question again?

If only Sestan had Kynan's speed or Kynan had Sestans boot we would have found an AFL player.

Final lists not due for some time so might be more delistings to come. Especially if agreements are made to pay out contracts that would otherwise continue next year.

Jack Henderson surely would be highly unlikely to be retained. He started ok but quickly was found not to be up to the required standard. He then struggled at VFL level and was ultimately injured by seasons end.

michael barlow his werribee coach said on the footy and freinds podcast today that he bumped into him earlier this week and he had been offered a new deal, not even a wait till post trade. which would make woey jnr the singular player left in limbo

Yes that’s an odd call. Retain Henderson and delist Sestan and Kynan Brown. Zero sense!!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
