CASEY: Semi Final vs Frankston

Featured Replies

Casey concede 6 goals without a shot in anger.

Skills falling away can’t get hands on ball and when they do turnover.

Get the mirrors out at half time.

Break can't come soon enough to help reset momentum.

Who is this DH barracker on the commentary

HT Frankston 4.5.29 lead Casey Demons 8.4.52

Goals Goals Cross Culley Hardie Kentfield

Disposals Billings 16 Hardie 13 Culley Laurie 12 Bonner Brown Campbell 9

Who are these random Frankston players? They look better than some AFL sides. Jackson voss, Trent mynott, hamill, Frankstons team seems full of raking left footers who can hit up the corridor at will

Any chance the two dîckheåds commentating could just concentrate on calling the game instead of being Frankston fanboys.

Dolphins looking very quick & sharp. Their run from behind game is cutting through us and their field kicking is a level above.

Our team defense has totally fallen apart. Some very poor kicking isn't helping. Simple errors at key moments causing turnovers with everyone in attacking positions.

Laurie about the only one having a crack.

Ketfield flying with one hand.

Adams - struggling

Sestan - looks miles off AFL level.

Jackson Voss is Brett Voss' son - nephew of Michael. FS at st kilda but never came on

Hard to see where we go from here other than playing disciplined football. we cannot get clear and they are running loose.

Let's regroup and be within twelve points at 3/4 time and take it from there.

Another quarter like that and it's game over

Is he draft eligible?

Has a skillset we could really use... quick, line breaking, attacking left footed HBF.

Any seen if Bucks is there

Bucks is in Perth commentating Suns v Freo.

Btw Verrall is very concerning. Got utterly destroyed the moment he went into the ruck.

Clear delist if we're bringing Heath in I think

That was mostly work ethic and 'want' from the Dolphins that quarter.

Casey can turn it around but not playing second to the ball / reactive footy like that.

They need to start winning more at the coal face and sharing / spreading with cleaner hands and hitting a few more targets by foot from the spread.

Their power / overlap game can then come off the back of that coal face work plus better pressure in general. Pressure was off that quarter.

As soon as TC / Culley come out of that middle line up we look quite vulnerable at CBs and around ground stoppages.

Do we rotate Hardie through the middle a little in the third swapping for Culley up forward when he needs a spell? Culley's a difficult match up up forward and pretty good overhead / in front of goal.

Casey AFL players looking very average against the suburban VFL players. One team interested and the other (Dees) lacking any fight when the pressure came. Six goals to nil In the last 20 minutes

Jackson Voss showed he has to be on our list. Embarrassing for our players.

We’ve accepted mediocre players on the list for too long.

Now let’s see who stands up when the pressure is on. We have the talent to still win. That’s if there’s any heart.

Frankston goal in the opening minute is not what we needed

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
