CASEY: Semi Final vs Frankston

Featured Replies

Frankston open the second half with three goals in the opening four minutes and Casey's season is rapidly slipping away

Wow this is poor from 15? AFL listed players.

Well, still a better season than the seniors. Mad Monday awaits for Casey.

You would have to question the AFL credentials of the fifteen Melbourne players in this side. They're getting absolutely smashed across the park.

The B&F is Tuesday night, and it looks like this will be the club's final game, judging from that 2nd quarter. Their little blokes are all over ours and kicking with precision while they run and gun. Except for Culley, we look too slow and turn it over. No sign of Woewodin, Brown and Laurie is too small, too slow and turns it over. AJ looks out of his depth as well

This is shockingly dumb football by Casey. And why is K Brown remaining in the midfield against a much stronger opponent.

Players doing Hero stuff. Taking 4 tackles in a row.

Yeesh, now I know why my tiny creature spent the last hour or so fussing and crying. He was protecting me from seeing that.

Cue the fightback now he's getting a good feed, but it would take a lot.

Just now, KC from Casey said:

It’s almost time for a white flag.

It appeared to go up a while ago, but maybe now is the time for the classic scrap for dignity.

Since Culley kicked Casey’s fourth goal, it’s been a 9 goal to nil avalanche until Tholstrup managed that one!

Edited by KC from Casey

Nice goal Tholstrup . Still reckon he will make it.

Billings crapped his pants and fumbled on the wing. Typifies him as a player.

We just seemed to absolutely lose our heads for a while there. Panic onset by some fantastic play from Frankston (and a bit of luck).

Took way too long to settle and the damage is probably already done.

50 meters to Baldi there. Player ran right through the protected zone about 5 seconds after he marked

Some days it's not your day.

The bounce up on the wing, then the way it all sat for them in our D50.

They attacked it hard which helps create luck, but when it's your day it's your day.

The crowd behind Culley's shot then was like the earlier conversation about the social status of Frankston came to life. Couple of glamorous young ladies complete with perfect hair and styled scarves and good posture, and then the flannelette squad hunched onto the fence.

Both Demons mens teams don't play well under lights

All forwards having mares tomight

Another to Kentfield and it's back under 5 goals.

I would not bother looking for match winners for the demons out of the this match. Unless your looking at potential players from the dolphins They are far better skilled and drilled.

Might be the last we see of Billings, Woewodin, Brown, Fullarton and Verrall. No guarantees on Campbell and Sestan either.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
