A poll in two parts - who you THINK will win and who you would LIKE to win.

Votes are anonymous with the exception of anybody who votes for Collingwood in the second poll. Andy has agreed to terminate their account if that happens.

Mr D, I prefer your quizzes! 🙃

But I'll play along anyway.

  • Geelong to win 😟😭

  • Giants preferred (go Jessie ❤️💙, Captain Toby and Toby B)!

As a back-up, perhaps you could rig the vote so that any vote for Collingwood returns a 0 (just in case some poor, misguided fool makes a mistake.

Anyone but the filth

I assumed we would all agree on this but I see we have a recalcitrant who has picked them as their preferred Premier.

For shame. Go get 'em, Andy.

In order of "I rather burn my eyes with acid than watch them win a flag"

Collingwood
Daylight x 10
Geelong
Daylight x 5
Hawks
Daylight
Freo
Brisbane
Gold Coast
GWS
Adelaide

Who do I think will win in order from most to least likely

Geelong (kill me!) - they just love to win flags for fun
Brisbane - a few key injuries
Adelaide - suspect midfield and no finals experience
Collingwood (kill me more) - umpires can win it for them
Hawks - ordinary midfield
GWS - mental midgets
Freo - they are going to do a Freo
Gold Coast - lol they'll be out while celebrating making finals after 15 years

Jaded's comment reflects my feelings, and, like La Dee-vina Comedia, I hope for the resurrection of the Colliwobbles.

I'm conflicted about Adelaide. Previously I would have been quite happy for them to win, based on how it would make a friend of mine happy. But the whole Rankine affair has left a sour taste in my mouth about the AFL and the finals.

I have no idea. In my view all teams can win it. Historically, the best defensive teams have the best chance to win it. A few outliers but you can pick out teams who are scored against too easily, too often. gws and freo.

I'd put money on one of Adelaide, Collingwood or Hawthorn. Gold Coast is a smokey if they get going.

Looking at the first week every game is a 50/50

If Brisbane and Adelaide win and therefore get a home PF you'd have to think one if not both will make the GF.

I'd like to see GWS win but their free flowing game seems to be absent in recent weeks

Brisbane will go back to back. A couple of weeks ago would have said I want Crows for the ANB factor but recent events have left a bad taste in my mouth, so will be barracking for Freo.

I’m hoping for a Collingwood straight sets. If they don’t get it done this year then it gets significantly harder for them given their demographics.

Also, if it’s not us I always prefer an interstate premier. You don’t run into their supporters on the street. It’s like it never happened.

I think Geelong; I hope Fremantle.

And I'd love to see the word "Colliwobbles" resurrected with Collingwood losing from an unlosable position in a final.

On Freo, isn't it more beneficial for us that they are unceremoniously kicked out of finals so that Dogga wants to come back home? 😂

Would you rather Collingwood lose in straight sets or lose after the siren in the GF? 😅😁

Such a difficult question, El Diablo!

Whatever maximises the pain of their supporters... like in the second set they bomb badly and lose by 60+ points 😁 or they have an ignomious destruction in the GF like the Swans 😂

Edit: I don't want it to be close, because I don't want them to feel like if something small changed they would have progressed / got ultimate success. Scorched earth please!

I double dare you.

Collingwood down 5, Soft Daicos marks 45 m out with an angle.

Siren goes off, end of game.

Kick goes makes the distance but hits the post.

Just imagine the scenes at the G 🤣🤭🤣🤭🤣

Approximately 60 responses so far and patterns are emerging.

1 - Brisbane and Geelong are the two teams considered most likely to win, ahead of Adelaide.

2 - Adelaide are the popular choice, ahead of GWS and Fremantle.

3 - Nobody has nominated Hawthorn in either category. 😃

4 - In a disgraceful display, one poster has nominated Geelong and two named Collingwood as their preferred Premier. ☠️

I donkey voted.

That would mean that you voted for Adelaide twice. Better than nominating Collingwood or Geelong or Hawthorn, that's for sure.

I like the cut of your jib Jaded.

Is it too late to change my vote?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
