Great to see Sestan back in, we can go all the way!

Yes 16 AFL listed and Yze possibly on the bench.

Not wishing to overcook the egg here.

Some solid ins trust they’re ready to fire.

This is a cut throat final no tomorrow land for the losers.

Noah Yze that last game he played for Casey at Whitten Oval was dynamic. His recovery appears to be first rate after a late season hamstring injury. There’s an AFL footballer in there somewhere.

They used to be called the Springvale Scorpions but they played a famous grand final against Williamstown 35 years ago.

I was there that day, having lived within walking distance of Princes Park at the time.

Williamstown's Billy Swan (father of Dane) kicked the late winning goal from about 50 metres out, having never previously kicked over a jam tin.

...and, according to the commentary, the last kick of his career!

Barry Round, eh? A storied and admired ruckman and character to match our Max over their respective journeys?

Any update on Jeffo's injury KC?

Out for the remainder of the season as per the team selection thread above.

I have an engagement tomorrow so I won't be able to post regularly on this thread. Will sneak away as often as I can without making it obvious to catch the game and post scores but I'm sure the regular Casey watchers will fill in :)

Not sure if mentioned earlier, but 7 Mate have the game on live tomorrow.

And don't call him that either

Why not

The one player who needed something like a finals series to perhaps take that next step.

This season is such fun... and due to injuries we can barely put an AFLW team on the park

Good side on paper. Made 2 mistakes not putting in Hardie and Smith. Looking forward to Culley and Howes tearing them apart.

W’DEE you must either receive the phantom edition out there or check your Specsavers a/c. Both named in WJ’s teamsheet.

Admittedly Mitch Hardie’s recent form has been more subliminal than stellar, still a very solid contributor. Deakin Smith after a patchy start to the season is now playing some very consistent football too at half back.

Difficult to keep the ebullience meter in check for this one. After all, who said ‘finals is the start of a new season?’

I made 2 mistakes on my predicted team. Not the team list I know they are playing.

...just got back on the conveyor belt 😁

My ebullience meter is jammed on ‘High’ for this one. I’ve only seen Casey live three or four times this season and they’ve all been losses. Vs Box Hill two weeks ago was the first win. They’re so impressive, and 100% invested. Deaks is an awesome captain.

GO THE MIGHTY CASEY DEMONS!

For those of us outside of Melbourne who are lucky enough to have Aussie Truckers to watch on 7mate today 🙄, we can live stream the game via the AFL app (and maybe air drop/screen mirror to our TVs)

Will be interested in the AFL fringe players here versus the VFL group. Laurie. Woey. Kynan. Possibly players playing for their futures.

Pretty sure their future has already been decided..

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
