I actually donโ€™t mind this. We have poor midfield depth as it is and we are about to lose Trac.

Tsatas would come cheap and he has clear upside.

Poor disposal, I understand. But he is depth that weโ€™re not giving away much for.

could join the likes of billings, schache, dunstan, etc as players who we get on the cheap with 'some upside' who play a lot more vfl than afl for us

i don't see the point in recruiting a player like tstatas who is just... bog ordinary

Melbourne seem to have a level of interest in the Tsatas camp. I'm not overly enamoured, but there might be a bit of a watch this space.

Who?

Where does this come from, please, Betc?

And does the source say why?

Calling a 20yr who was an elite junior bog ordinary is rough.

He mightnโ€™t work out but heโ€™s worth the risk at the price for his age in a role that we are short on.

It is but , but in this case isnโ€™t this because the victim has allegedly settled out of court? If so (and I really donโ€™t know anything about the case) itโ€™s not a good look at all.

Surely there has to be some law about criminal charges being settled out of court?

Settling is different from charges being dropped. Either a victim was pressured into dropping the case or the evidence couldn't prove a conviction. We will never know but the vast majority of credible SA cases never see a conviction.

But he IS - the evidence is there in his games both at afl and vfl level

His lack of skill simply precludes him from being good enough for a long term career in this current competition

Will probably play for a long time at lower levels

The report in the Smage today makes clear why it was dropped.

Not a rumour, but not sure where to drop this. Would love to see Melbourne back investing into Irish talent and seeing what can be uncovered.

I couldn't find it. What did it say?

Yeah, itโ€™s very anomalous with reference to the criminal process. Iโ€™m not discounting the difficulties that are inherent with investigating, prosecuting and then proving the various forms of SA chargers in the various jurisdictions, but given the total rate of criminal convictions sits around 97% across all jurisdictions for all criminal matters (if you exclude SA data as an approximation, the total conviction rate probably jumps to around 98 - 98.5% for all other criminal matters - given the low rate of SA convictions), SA comparatively sits incredibly low at between 6 - 12%.

Youโ€™ve made some solid nuanced points, good insight.

Anyway, back to footy.

Not shocked after reading a summary of the case and the evidence to be led by the Prosecution.

That summary may not have been accurate though, I wouldnโ€™t know.

IF however it was correct, you wouldnโ€™t get a conviction from an Australian jury.

Dave Misson coming home to take up the new job, sitting between Guerra and Richo.

No verification at this stage, just overheard a whisper.

His strategy at Melbourne was to get every second player a foot injury then he fell upwards in to a promotion from fitness guy to footy admin because St Kilda had no other Ross acolytes on hand at the time.

Would be a seriously unimpressive move.

We are going to have to get a bunch of players out of retirement. We are doomed.

It's a travesty of justice that these sorts of crimes are so infrequently punished.

Actually the legal process has determined that there is not sufficient evidence to say that a crime has taken place

Thank goodness for the rule of law and due process. I assure you that if ever someone made unsubstantiated claims against you, that you would be eternally thankful they exist.

Completely agree.

Why do they keep the bloke's name quiet but often name the girl so she can be shamed and accused of faking it

No wonder women rarely report rape.

If anyone knows the name pls DM me

There's a suppression order preventing publication of the person's name, and any identifying information.

Having said that I think we all know who he is.

Could we not be the talk of the town...

My mail Bailey Humphrey and sam Flanders to don the red and the blue next year to replace trac and oliver. $700k salary to be paid by the dees for oliver and trac salary to be completely absorbed by the suns. Apparent meeting this weekend bailey and dees staff.

$1m for Flanders and $1m for Bailey

Effectively saving $700k from oliver and trac which is why we are willing to pay a club $700k to take oliver

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven Mayย

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.
