Despite how chaotic the last few days have been I thought it would be a good opportunity to acknowledge a fine achievement from a great contributor for us. I have always had a lot of time for this guy. I thought he was arguably the best wingman in the game from 2020-2022. He's still a bloody fine player now though. His professionalism and durability are second to none.

He's a great guy to have around the club too. I actually don't think he's a bad option for our next skipper. He seems like the introverted type but he's clearly very popular with his teammates.

Best of luck for your 200th Ed!

Congratulations on playing your 200th game Ed Langdon been one of my favourites since joining the Dees, must admit this milestone has snuck up on me. We are quite a mature club now and that might hold us in good stead going forward, if they can all stick together we might be a relatively quick fix.

Hope you have a great game Running Man…!!

And due to bus replacements on the Werribee line I will be riding my bike to the game in honour of Ed 😂

An unbothered king who just goes about his business and does it week in week out. A fitness freak and a great role model for the young wingman coming through at the club.

Well done on 200. Given your fitness level I’m thinking 400 games is not out of the question. May you have an extra special bike ride to celebrate post game this weekend.

Oozes cool sophistication...

Congrats on 200 games Lingers. A great achievement. Premiership player. Coming back into some terrific form

However, should not be put in from of a press conference ever again. First, it was 'all duck, no dinner', now saying he didn't agree with the board's sacking of Goodwin. He might think it's harmless or taken out of context, but it's inflammatory. Should know better, given the media training these guys receive

Hope he has another cracker of a game on Sunday.

Just saw a small grab of Langdon somewhere been interviewed….he was clearly not happy about Goody being sacked (as I suspect a lot of other players felt the same way)

It will be fascinating to see what Melbourne team turns up this Sunday.

I sort of liked hearing him at this particular time calling it as it is. Given the circumstances, almost refreshing.

What's wrong with the truth.

Can't they handle the truth? Bear in mind he might be on a Board of the MFC himself one day.

Congratulations ED what a wonderful inclusion he has been to our club... i would highly recommend him in a leadership role, maybe VC.

Congrats to Langdon, deserving of being celebrated and I wish his milestone was given clearer air.

Just as an aside, I sorely miss the Gus and Gawny podcast and the cheeky fun they’d have addressing Ed being a character.

Don’t have to be a complete footy head to excel at the game, glad he came to us when he did and hopeful he plays on for some time yet.

Also, glad he grew his locks back.

The Positive Lingers era was the high water mark of the greatest period for our football club that I’ve witnessed.

Great words! I love Langdon, he has been a fantastic player and does things his own way. His honesty with the questions around Goody were refreshing also.

Congratulations Ed, hope you have a great 200th and keep playing well, through to 250 and beyond in a couple of years.

Langdon has been a wonderful acquisition to the club, but his tail-wagging-the-dog commentary on the sacking is confirmation that change needed to be made.

Congrats Ed.

Great athlete, great player and most importantly great guy.

I will be pretty disappointed if he doesn't play till 40.

Well done Ed. I have always admired your ability to run, run all day. You also have such an infectious smile that always gladden the heart.

I am sure the Dockers would love to 'borrow' you for their finals tilt. Great team player and so popular with his teammates. Go Ed !!!!

Yes, he certainly doesn't toe the party line when it comes to interviews.

But massive respect for him for being the poor soul that had to do the MFC website post game interview after the Saints disaster the other week. I wonder if it's a roster rotation of players that are interviewed or if he was good enough to offer himself up to the comms department that evening.

I remember watching him during Freo games in 2019 and wishing we'd pick up a wingman like him. Boy was I stoked we picked him up at that time, and still am.

Great effort of Ed to get to 200. It's somewhat disappointing that it's been overshadowed by Goodwin's sacking. I actually think his performance at the presser was good. He spoke genuinely of the players perspective and love for Goody, but was also clear that he respected the boards decision.

Ed was one of the early quality young up and coming players to join a rising MFC. He made a great impact when he arrived and continues to make a great contribution to the team week in week out. He does have the occasional quite game and I think he's played one fairly average season for us back 2023 or something, but by in large, he's been incredibly consistent and reliable high performer over the journey.

Congratulations on 200 Ed and thanks for making the MFC your football home.

It's a little sad that the madness of Goodwin getting sacked has meant this hasn't been given it's proper acknowledgement. I feel like I'm alone in this but I feel like he's been solid for us this season, he's been playing his role in a more high half forward sort of way (to cover the loss of Nibbler maybe?) and you know whatever happens he will not stop running.

He was a key recruit and component to our 2021 premiership, have a lot of time for him. I would even go so far to say he's a leader/future leader of the club.

Congrats Lingers! Bring some positivity this week!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
