Not match winning but Oliver’s best game in many a day.   Ran hard.  Took time to find targets so had good disposal.  Seemed invested.  Delighted for him. More of that in the next few weeks would be nice ❤️💙

That's a relief !

Max another AA surely

Culley, great debut

Viney a bulldozer

Langford a star of the future.

But ..... [censored] me ..... umpiring and rules !!! I just don't have a clue.

Hard to know how much to take out of this game.

A win is a win so that’s nice. Goal kicking much improved and a solid debut from Culley. Kids are looking pretty good and Oliver looked like he had some of his intent back, I'd really love to see him finish strong this season and carry that into next year.

Did what we needed to do. Great game by some of the kids. JC, Windsor and Langford were great to watch.

Lots to like against a poor opposition. Like Windsor in the middle.

It’s never bad to win by 10+

I so much want to rave on after such a great win, with lots of players doing so well. Relief combined with satisfaction. But WCE - a shadow of an AFL standard team.

Good to see some of the kids shine. Windsor in the last, Culley, Langford ( seriously.. how good is this guy)

Culley with 7 marks & 2 goals was impressive. Why did we have to wait so long before seeing him in the seniors?

Could only ask for a 4 quarter effort and got it. Thought at half time, given the still raw humiliation from last week and the potential for more this week that nothing would really make me happy in this game, but in the end I am.

Langford is confirmed as an absolute gun. Can’t wait to see him spend more time in the guts in the coming years.

Nice to see Fritta finally getting back to his best.

Hard to know how we couldn’t find a spot for Culley all season. Very impressive aerial game.

Our last games are all against teams with finals aspirations, two of which are far from locked in. My hope for the rest of the season is that we impact the makeup of the finals. Causing Hawthorn to miss would be the best of the best.

After the week we've had, I found a lot of pride in seeing someone who was cut from another club but obviously a big Dees fan as a kid go out there and play for the jumper.

He seems like one of us, it would be an understatement to say we needed an act like that today.

If Langford’s timing was a bit better today he would have kicked a lazy 5 goals. A lot to look forward to in future.

Focusing on the young players, because you expect our senior players to feast on the carcass of this pitiful opponent.

Culley a great debut. Took the opportunity with both hands literally. Love his height and size.

Langford a gun.

Windsor a midfielder. What a shock 🙄

Howes had a fantastic game on a quality opponent.

Chin and Bowey continued their good season.

Kosi is Kosi. A marvel. Pay him more.

Disco safe hands down back and reads the play so so well.

Overall it was nice to see those guys continue to play well and show glimpses of the future.

A real shame we didn’t play Jefferson today, but credit to Petty he was very good.

A very good question DiD.

Well done Culley. Played a good game on debut for his boyhood club. Great to see Windsor in the middle as well.

Fritta continuing good form. Nice to see Petty clunk a few marks, and would like to see Trac spend more time at HF too.

@Demonland the pod is back 👏👏👏

Lots to talk about

Jack Viney - tough warrior 8 tackles 13 clearances

Caleb Windsor - his run and carry and hitting targets

Clarry13 was good and saw glimpses of his run away from contest

Frittata31 - goal sense and classy goalkicking

Gawn - All Australian 2025 . Calling it now !!

Salem - smart and brave in defence (although still looked slow at times)

Langford - back into rising star contention- has star power quality

JAI CULLEY - looks a player

Accurate goalkicking

💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️

💙💔Forget about the …

Missed tackles Lazy disposal and turnovers Stupid50s Up and under kicks into forward 50

Windsor is a rolls royce, one of the highest ceiling guys on the list

Absolutely. I’m still angry that we subbed him off last week.

I didn’t mind trying him at half back, as I can see the logic, but we tried it for too long. He’s clearly a midfielder and his ability to hit the contest at speed is very much something we need.

Was also great to see a different midfield mix at every bounce. Not the usual Viney Trac and Clarry. Viney and Clarry had great games, but we are better off when they are feeding the ball to Kosi or Windsor than we are when they are feeding the ball to each other.

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

The Demon premiership defender who has the reputation the master of intercept possessions as well as great leadership qualities managed only eight senior games this season as he battled injury and form, prompting speculation that he might be enticed to look elsewhere.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #12 Koltyn Tholstrup

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.
