Had enough of these forward kick in hope

It's been glaringly obvious for 4 years, yet little has been done to stop it. If anything it's got worse

Melksham either has a good day or nothing.

Sadly it's the latter today.

Should be realistic that he’s old as hell, sub only on 6 day breaks.

Some of the most disgusting lazy defensive efforts topped off with rubbish goal kicking

RIP 2025

Same script, goal kicking once again

Same script bombing down the line again 🤬

All they have to do is play keepings off for 9 minutes or so. We can't score quickly or consistently

Add to that our constant turnovers and ineffective loose zone plays right into the oppo's hands in close games like this

So easy.

We are just so easy to play against.

And predictable.

We don’t convert, can’t sustain and on turnover, we are too slow.

This clubs a [censored] disgrace.

Losing to these [censored]’s is an absolute embarrassment.

What a different game this is if we kick those chances earlier in the quarter

Goodwin will be known as the fought breaking flag coach but also a coach with biggest missed opportunity to win another one! He just fix the issues which have dogged the results in the last 4 seasons ! Time to part ways & say thanks for a flag but too much talent for a bottom 6 finish , leaders need to look I. The mirror with undisciplined acts costing us late goals , what was Viney thinking

We blew it in third and umpires delivered coup de gras. We will collapse from here

We never do. 4 years of the same [censored].

may has looked so, so slow today

There's no stopping those entries when there's such poor pressure and easy outlets WW

I’m over the same [censored] every week, every year. Cleaning out of coach and players. None have brain cells

Not sure why any of you are surprised by the cheats umps. We have been umpired out of 3 games this year. Make this 4.

Umps have been [censored] but we've had a decent run from them as well, can't blame this one on them. Our players are just fair dinkum brain-dead, senior players have lost this one again. How many times does it have to happen before something changes?

Would have been nice to have gone down having a red hot crack but looks like we've chosen to give up instead. Ho hum.

3:7 since half time

What do you expect??? But Simon will say..... yeah we have been working incredibly hard on our goal kicking!

goal kicking again

Broken record. Should have easily, EASILY kicked 4 more goals in 2nd and 3rd quarter. That would have locked in the momentum, and given us confidence and belief to finish.

Very frustrating to say the least.

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.
