The interesting thing about North's trip to the West is that they play their second sold home game next week in Perth.

Obviously they did a deal with the AFL fixture

North making plans for an open top bus parade along Errol St with their $2.5 mill cheque.

West Coast used to be a hated but respected sorta, club

Now they are just a pathetic husk on the backside of the AFL

the game is being played at the comics lounge on repeat

North with the all-important 'first to reach 60 wins the game' milestone. That's the one, isn't it.

I really thought West Coast had sealed it when they kicked that sixth goal.

Amazing effort by North to almost double their score in the last 20 minutes.

This might actually be the worst round of football in the AFL era.

63 inside 50s for 6 goals is next level [censored]

North have a massive supporter base in WA. They mentioned it on radio & said because of all the nth players that are from WA

Ross the boss Glendinning being a big one I suspect.

For all the help that has been given to North and the Suns a competitive Eagles is far more essential to the competition.

How they have got themselves into such a mess is amazing even if I knew how they did it

both eagles and north are very poor teams

To be fair both sides have turned over a lot of players and are now completely different basket cases to the ones they were three years ago.

Damn, I was going to watch that one too.

But I was flicking through and found a really interesting episode of escape to the country…

Meth Coke checked out during Covid Lockdown and have never come back since

It would be fascinating to hear what Adam Simpson has to say on the complete saga…

All they did was whinge & complain when they had to go in the hub in qld. I remember Adam Simpson complaining & they never settled.

I guess if the coach is complaining it ripples down to the players & creates a negative vibe & environment

Seriously

6–16

Pfft…. Amateurs.

They just needed more time. That's more than 2.6 points per goal, so if the game went on longer they may have got to 7-20. Not far off 7-21.

Jono Brown will be in the dog house with a bit of a Freudian slip when attempting to reference Centre-field in that last Carlton play but instead blurted out Centrefold (Lounge) before correcting himself with a bit of chuckle.

Just on the AFL summary of the Carlton

v ESS game “ Carlton are moving the ball quicker than Melbourne through the corridor “ etc. Is the AFL using AI to write their game summaries ?

Anyone who thumps the scum deserves praise. Keep their score low Carlton Please, a carp essenscum side.

Go blues. I hope last Sunday we were thinking about tomorrow ! I doubt it but I have no idea.

It’s always enjoyable watching Essendon getting flogged but when it’s Carlton it makes it a lot harder.

Goldie is still one of the best runners in the AFL. TDK is more of a power athlete.

If Cerra had concussion, Durham gets 3-4 for a pretty ordinary bump to the head.

Far, far, far worse than AJ, who jumped up, not belting a bloke front on, who was bending down to get the ball, but watch Durham get only 1 week,

should start at 3, could go as high as 5

crude in the extreme

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
