You are far too kind to nearly everyone, Joeboy.

Lindsay, I’m not convinced

Laurie, just as predicted

Lever, what about McDonald

Kozzie, in another headspace

Johnson, Victoria Football League

Oliver, not top 100

MFC: heartbreaking to follow

Langford: Needs a rest

Windsor: Not a backman

Pressure: 8th worst ever

Forward line: Tall mark needed (ability to kick straight an advantage)

Coaching: Lyon wins again

Goal kicking: Words fail me

Backline: : Missing Tom McDonald

Laurie: Too the answer (

Really, not convinced about Lindsay??

He is the least of our problems. Will be a very good player.

May - very good defence 👍🏻

Gawn - battled hard and was one of our best great contest v Marshall 👍🏻

Turner - yes played well as a 3rd tall defender 👍🏻

McVee - good rebound and run 20 disposals 👍🏻

Bowey - well held in 1st half Good in 2nd half to be ok 👍🏻

Petracca - played in bursts but nothing like last week was okay 👍🏻

Chandler. - contests and runs hard all day 👍🏻

Ummmm the rest …

Fritsch - seemingly played half forward connector and stayed wide and kicked wide too ineffective overall

Salem - likes the boring 15 metre pass defensively caught out too often and looked slow

Oliver - Zac jones tagged him and did a good job Clarry battled on

Lindsay - uncharacteristically is missing goals He nailed them in under 18s Had ok game and excuse as he’s just 1st year

Johnson - big bustling bumbling performance love his heart but limited again

Pickett - simply poor today Windhager tag was too good and frustrated kozzzy

(Why didn’t Goodwin put him forward to one in one in square??)

Melksham - seemed injured and bravely went on yet nothing today

Rivers - he tried and tried and tried but it didn’t happen today

Langford - yes agree he might need a spell as he battles but is looking very tired

Petty - good contest and tackle to goal was good but …

The rest need to go to house of mirrors

Windsor - poor under pressure, turnovers and missed tackles (please please please put him back to the wing, end his defense role now)

Langdon - wow that was a shocker. Had to ask if he was playing. Ed will bounce back

Sharp - so inconsistent- works hard then lets himself down - disappointing!!

Sparrow - where is he at? Defensive forward?? Slow and lacks skill had 3 goal chances for zero goals not good enough

Lever -very disappointing , yes he was a liability in defense & imv physically is not right

Laurie - some might excuse as only had a quarter but looked slow again and I’m still saying he’s not up to it. Maybe give him a few games so we can finally see that he’s not going to make it. Fair enough. He is a good VFL player.

Agree he’s not a problem, just not convinced he’s as good as commentators talk. Think Windsor better but destroying him at half back.

[censored] that up

Windsor - not a defender.

If they keep persisting with this, they are going to Melbourne him

He has won me over. I didn't like him to start with as he looked like someone I don't like, so he has done well to turn me around.

Windsor will be a very good player as well and while he isn't tearing up half back like I thought he would, he will develop into a well rounded player.

So why wasn't interference run for him. Windhager did a great job on Kozzie, but there needed to be a "screen" for Kozzie. The other thing is again, we give up so much possession from a point kick in. So often, St.Kilda went coast to coast, without a Melbourne player touching the footy. We looked flat today. No spark.

LYON

GOODWIN

First time Saints have beaten us since 2019 and we had to kick 21 points for them to beat us. Kicking is deplorable.!!!

He's an absolute ripper 'Norm', will kick one then the monkey will be off his back.

I think Lindsay is the better player, I'm more concerned with Langford on a wing & in general. fumbles too much below his knees and gets caught out in 2 way running, would rather Windsor or Langdon back on one wing.

Lindsay is good on the other...

Laurie Not the problem

and

Laurie Not the answer

#19 looking very tired

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
