Um yep

Apologies if this has already been posted but both Amartey (3 weeks) and McInerney (1 week) have been suspended and will miss our game next week unless successful on appeal.

This is pathetic from Essendon, I mean I am enjoying it but wow.

i really hope doggies keep the foot to the throat here

Lots of Essendon supporters catching an early train back to Broady tonight.

Yep but I think it started last year.

I'll believe it when I see it. I don't think they've got the mettle to get it done on the big stage.

Crowd at GWS v Freo looked appalling today, makes you wonder about AFL growing in Sydney’s West.

Looked 5000 max.

How do the bulldogs manage to regenerate & bring in new players whilst losing key players to challenge for top 4, So happy for Harmes, yet we kept Hunter & dogs would have been so happy!

It’a called a coach that is at the top of his game.

Definitely in the mix to win this year’s flag.

However, I’m not sure they could win a prelim against Brisbane at the GABBA or Collingwood at the MCG (I’m assuming Demonland posters have moved past the absurd assumption that Collingwood aren’t contenders)

It looked worse ! Maybe 3000!!! The AFL’s website says “TBC”. Is that a joke or just how they treat it !!! Why not report it ??!

By the way Power v Cats started at same time and it’s got a reported 35,000

Lots of hammy twings this week. I head some commentator say something about the sudden cold weather being a factor and I'm not sure how much is in that but maybe it's not such a bad thing we're playing up in QLD today. It feels like we're finally getting our best 22 back on the park so hopefully we can keep a clean bill of health, even if we drop this game.

I think now everyone acknowledges Collingwood are a massive chance but let’s not forget rd 2 MCG, Dogs v Pies. Dogs without Bont, Treloar, Weightman & JUH (note : At this point the extent of JUH issues weren’t fully known) vs a full strength Pies outfit. The Dogs only lost by 6 points but also lost the free kick count 14 to 33. The umpiring without any doubt affected the result of that game.

8,092 according to the official register

ultimately crowds are completely irrelevant to the afl

all about the value of the broadcast rights and the volume of $$s in the wagering sector

Eagles 100% winning their first game in a classic Saints moment

Good for us. We'll pass the Saints and Bombers if we keep playing like this

I love the fact that there is absolutely no reference to the tigers v kangaroos game today. Didn’t give it much of a thought myself either.

WAA look like they will beat EUR

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
