Really should have worked him into the Jackson trade a couple years ago. Perhaps we tried and were rebuffed. Think@Redleg was calling for it at the time.

We never asked.

Has Luke Jackson won possession at all so far tonight? He's always buzzing around contests looking vaguely like he's doing something but never seems to actually impact the play.

Was just about to say the same thing. 5 possessions half way through the second. Getting smashed when in the ruck. A much better player than that.

Is it just me, or is Daicos going off because of an "injury" when his tagger is beating him a bit sus.

3 votes despite that.

Sadly that didn't age well.

Still fairly pedestrian, but you are right 😎

Granted his missed games due to suspension, but Houston is having a very ordinary year....

Thankfully the POS isn't playing so I don't have to look at his ugly head.

However Crisp is almost as bad.

Dunno who the POS even is but Collingwood have no shortage of ugly mugs I'd rather not look at.
Mason Cox at the top of the list.

Longmuir has to be about on his last legs as coach of Freo, surely?

With the list he has, they should be doing much better than their current output. Their game plan is worse than ours.

Not too sure I’d be salivating over the prospect of bringing LJ back in a hurry either. Hasn’t done too much in his time over their and has stagnated badly, particularly for the $ he would be on.

Abit rich coming from a Melbourne supporter.

The Shockers are having a crack, but they are also hoping for something to happen rather than creating it

Gosh freo are pathetic. Playing at home & can't even beat a Collingwood team that's resting a number of good players.

If they were based in Melbourne, they'd be copping a lot more heat

Yes, being very reactive and not proactive.

The Pies work off the ball is off the charts. That’s why they’re in so many games.

Good to see Freo have been closely copying the Mbourne strategy of bombing it mindlessly i50 to a opposition player.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery!

He seems to have plateaud since leaving us. And still rarely takes a clean one-grab mark

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
