Fritta for Spargo for mine

McVee for Turner (inj)

Fritsch was shizzen, needs 5 weeks at Casey, lazy player! Sestan was very good

I'm confident either JVR or Fritsch could replace Fullarton's 1 tackle today

And who plays second ruck if it's Fritta?

If May doesn't get up, I hope it's finally Adams' turn.

Adams is a good name. Better as a Christian name, but with a surname like that he deserves a game.

Agree - it’s time to give Ollie Sestan a chance. He’s worked very hard on building his tank and I agree, very impressive off half back.

Who for though?

Our back half is starting to really ping and is a key reason our ball movement is improving.

Ollie is a good kick, but I wouldn't be tinker8ngmwith the back half.

Injuries will come, Ollie will get his turn if he keeps improving.

Only changes I can see it may for turner and maybe Laurie for sharp as the sub. Why would Goodwin mess with what worked today particularly up fwd, no chance Fritsch or JVR get back in.

Edited by Garbo

Adams for Turner....perfect time to give him a run, May is cooked so we need to find out if Adams can defend at the level.

McVee for Sharp....Can't wait to see McVee, Windsor, Lindsay, Kolt and Langford, Pickett and Bowey running around together

Mcvee in surely??

Turner out with concussion, Tholstrup will be watched closely for any late symptoms during the week you would think.

Sparrow still needs a run in the twos, barely sighted again. Spargo is too slow for AFL.

Out : Turner, Sparrow, Spargo.

In : May, McVee, Culley

no

Questions for you all

Does Petty stay forward? Has to.

Does Adams get his turn? If not now, when?

Does Fullarton get another run? Yes for me

Does that gamestyle suit Fritsch to a T? I think it does and that's why I won't mind if we bring him back in.

Edited by Roost it far

McVee in. That's a certainty. Maybe for Howes but it depends on what they do with Turner and if May gets up.

May for Turner if fit. I have a feeling he won't get up though, the new injury only happened on Thursday. 7 days before the ANZAC Eve match. Maybe Adams come in if he doesn't get up.

Laurie for Sharp. Sharp has been really poor lately and Laurie has been working hard and doing well at vfl level. It's time for him to enter the team and give it a crack for a month at least.

Spargo, not the when quickest but was solid today. 19 disposals, 3 tackles in f50, 7 score involvements, 14 pressure acts etc, only knock on his game was his miss

And his trying to wrench the ball from Melksham’s grip… that was a real jaw dropper!

May will come back in for Turner. Like others have said, I don’t want him taking kick outs.

McVee for Sharp, Koltyn as sub.

Howes did his job but if May was right would be the most likely. Salem would want to lift his performances if Sestan continues his recent performance trajectory.

If May is not right which sounds likely surely Jed Adams to debut?

Yesterday... surprising, encouraging and needed.

Certainly not the outcome expected nor warranted on paper.

Have a bit more ( I.e. marginally some lol ) optimism for Thursday.

Might be a cracker of a game.

Not sure you'd change much.

You would think a bit unlucky to have to go down after a win.

Tiges will still think they're a very good chance (well so do I ) .

Who pulls up better might be the thing.

Jonty faull for the tigers might be straight out of the draft but he is tall and his marking ability should be given some respect. With lynch and him out there we have to replace disco down back with a tall. If it has to be petty for a week, I hope whoever replaces him forward plays with the same hunger and presence.

I’d rather see JVR sent back than adams in at this point personally. It’s been a few years but he was a good chb as a junior who also showed promise as a forward.

Spargo miss from 20 metres out !!

Spargo clear and no pressure and kicking over Kozzy lead !!!

Spargo missed tackle on Clark and Freo rebound !!

Spargo fighting with milkshake over the footy!!!

Spargo was better but … must be even better next time !!!

Blunt! Did he do anything in the second half when came on? Cannot agree Werribee.

If we play like we did yesterday, we'll win

Tigers are plucky but they have their weaknesses

Our best beats their best

Having watched both games yesterday I’d go:

In May and McVee

Out Turner and Sharp

Melky sub

Emerg; Fritta, Adam’s, Laurie

It'll be interesting to see what Richmond does to stifle our ball movement if we're as aggressive and run in waves as much as yesterday.

Will that handball game be able to stand up to manic Richmond pressure?

And if we make a few errors and a team really brings the heat, will we go back into our shells or keep going for it?

This will determine how sustainable this game plan is with this group.

Love how a lot of people have jumped of Fritsch, up until yesterday the team had collectively done nothing for five weeks. The one week they have a crack coincides with the week he’s dropped, Fritsch actually stepped it up against the Bombers, wasn’t his best game but did more than others. Now some are calling for him to put a consistent block together at Casey. Seems as though getting back into the team will be harder than a batsman trying to break into the Australian line up in the mid 90’s. Is everyone going to judged the same? Give Fritsch the space and delivery that some of our fwds got yesterday and he will tear up it up, he’s hard to match up on is a one v one. Interesting to see how this plays out.

not just that his body language on the field is disgusting something you would expect from a 5 year old, needs to wisen up

I'm not much of a fan of Howes but how was he yesterday, no one calling for him to be dropped? I would have thought he was a late emergency in, if May and McVee are available I'd think they replace Turner and Howes, but I'd rather Turner stayed in he probably won't.

I have a funny feeling if Fritsch was playing yesterday with the rest of the team playing like that he would have kicked a few, still he wasn't great at Casey so can't really reward that, the whole point is that they find some form.

Fullarton seemed to do his job, and I'd rather him there than AJ at this point, I think he can kick goals just fine he deserves a few games to see how he adapts.

Really hope Kolt is not injured, loved having him back in the side and I want all five of those young guns playing together!

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
