It's Game Day, and reinforcements are finally arriving for the Demonsโ€”but will it be too little, too late? They're heading down the freeway to face a Cats side returning home to their fortress after two straight losses, desperate to reignite their own season. Can the Demons breathe new life into their campaign, or will it slip even further from their grasp?

Weโ€™ll turn things around, starting tonight. Iโ€™m not gonna go into the whys and wherefores because I have nfi why and nfi wherefore. ๐Ÿ˜

The playing group will step up as a collective and wear Geel down by the last.

Season defining game, maybe career defining direction for some of our stars.

Friday night, canโ€™t wait!

Kozzie owes us a big game & our forward line has to function.

Would be great if our midfield actually stepped up & win a clearance.

Well done to the dees fans making the trip down. If this was tomorrow I would had gone but there's no way I'm getting there tonight

We have some good ins

and we can't possibly continue to play as badly as we have been

for those reasons alone i reckon we will put in a much better performance. whether that's good enough to win i don't know. Our record down there is not good so unlikely

but for gods sake can we show a bit of heat and ticker and pride in the guernsey

and stop fumbling and executing our skills like we're drunk

get it together

Go Dees

I had pencilled in this game to go with a [censored] supporting friend, but with the Deeโ€™s playing so well, I think I will decline.

Says something about me and my mate Don. Only excuse is we have a family member staying for the week and we have not had access for couple of years.

But itโ€™s on the TV, 2 hour drive there 2 hours back to watch a hit house loss. No the TV will do. Go Deeโ€™s Yelled weakly Not confident at all. Expect 30-60! Loss

Understatement of the last four years. Arguably owes us a premiership. Love him all the same.

With those guns last night, the most important question was not answered.

Which moronic side did they support ?

Carlton guns have silver butts.

Like most on here hoping for an ice breaking win but expecting a loss, odds are against us. Will tell us a lot about our season.

I find it very interesting that the very players who should be driving standards and leading our club are the ones who've caused our club the most disturbance. Now whether that disturbance was more media beat up than fact they put us in the media's headlights. On the other side to that is the fact that a new game plan takes time to embed in any side and can be frustrating to all especially those used to success. The big question for this group of over fed ego's is can they still fight for a win. Not a close loss but a win. I think the next 6-8 weeks will define how we see these guys long term. I want to see us hunt in packs, run back and forwards hard and get around each other after every goal, tackle, shepherd, gut run, smother, you name it, I want to see a team supporting each other again.

I'm annoyed with the senior players and I'll be more annoyed if we get smacked tonight.

Geelong by 54.

IF we can all get on the same page, execute skills to AFL level, and show genuine pride in the jumper, then we are a real chance!

We will find out this evening whether our beloved Dees have it in them!

Against better judgement I'll be heading down the highway, hoping for an improved performance.

Last time I was there was 2018 when Tuohy got the a goal after the siren for the win. Time before that was 186 ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I was there that day too ๐Ÿ˜ข The locals werenโ€™t particularly fond of me and let me know after the siren. Letโ€™s reverse that scenario tonight.

Yeah they've didn't seem too fond of us either, though there was one very lippy Melbourne supporter who was trying to wind them up all game, and that didn't help our cause.

Was that you? ๐Ÿ˜›

Gates open at 3:20pm. The Casey game starts at 3:50pm. It would be great for the Casey boys to see and hear support, so anyone who can get to Mordor early enough to catch even just part of the match, please do this.

Besides supporting the Casey players, being there for two matches also justifies the criminally high price of a ticket. Idk about yโ€™all but I had to fork out $65 for the privilege of sitting in the away cheer squad bay. God how I hate that club.

What are the odds of Kossie being a little over-enthusiastic and getting suspended again?

I can feel it happening

ย

yeah i feel like we're going to cop the mother of all hidings

last two games lost by 10 goals, and really gc17 felt like a 15-20 goal loss

geelong in geelong is - three games i can think of since 1988 - not a happy hunting ground

Edited by whatwhat say what

I predict a pretty even second half with an improved effort before slipping away and losing by 5 goals.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
